Larissa's Game of Thrones (Larissa) novel Chapter 845

“Of course we do! Larissa’s a celebrity these days,” said the youngest-looking man in the group.

“Yeah, she’s a total badass!” another chimed in.

Haskell then turned to Larissa, introducing each of them from left to right. “Larissa, these are my friends. This is Fintan.”

“Altair.”

“Oberyn.”

“And Javor.”

Larissa’s eyes moved from one face to the next as Haskell spoke their names, nodding in acknowledgment. After committing them to memory, she placed the gift bags on the table.

“It’s a pleasure to meet you all. I’m Larissa, Haskell’s fiancée. I brought a few small things for you.”

“You didn’t have to bring gifts, Larissa. You’re making us feel formal,” Fintan said, though he eagerly reached for a bag. The other three followed suit.

As they opened their presents, a collective sense of amused surprise filled the room.

Fintan held up his gift, stunned. “Larissa, is this a USB drive shaped like an EKG reading?”

“It is,” she confirmed with a nod.

He turned it over in his hand. “This is amazing. Where did you even find something like this?”

Altair’s gift was a book. He read the cover aloud. “A hardcover edition of the ‘Common First Aid Manual’?”

Javor, unwrapping his own present, glanced over and chuckled. “I think Larissa’s worried you’re going to work yourself to death, Altair. Time to study up!”

“I did,” Haskell confirmed, his expression neutral.

The others leaned in.

“What happened?” Fintan asked excitedly.

Oberyn shrugged, a glint of amusement in his eyes. “My grades improved, and the score gap kept shrinking, but on the final university entrance exams, I still fell short by seven points. I was second in the entire school.”

He looked at Haskell with genuine admiration. “And he, as always, was number one.”

Fintan slapped the table. “Oberyn, that’s incredible! Haskell’s a genius, and you only lost by seven points!”

“My turn,” Javor interjected, leaning back lazily against the sofa. “I met Haskell our first year of college. I’d gotten into some trouble off-campus, and a few thugs cornered me in an alley.” He shrugged. “Haskell just happened to be walking by. He took them all down by himself.”
