Honora watched it all unfold, her expression unreadable.
Lucius’s patience had completely run out. “Do what I tell you,” he growled. “If you don’t want to die, you’ll obey me!”
Jedidiah had mentioned Livia the last time they spoke, a clear sign he was looking for a new woman. With Tawny having betrayed him, delivering a woman who resembled Livia would be the perfect way to appease Jedidiah’s anger and ensure his continued support for the Lincoln family. Lucius had no time to waste on this girl’s hesitation.
The woman was completely broken. She clutched her stomach, looking up at the silent Honora with tear-streaked eyes. “This isn’t what you promised,” she sobbed. “You’re forcing me to do things I don’t want to do. Please, let me go, Honora. Please? I’ll pay you back for all the training, I swear. I’ll earn the money and pay you every cent.”
Lucius was getting annoyed. He turned to Honora and ordered coldly, “Take this woman back. You have one week to train her properly. Bring her back when she’s ready. If you fail, you’ll be punished right alongside her.”
Honora swallowed her humiliation and nodded. “Yes, Mr. Lincoln.”
…
After leaving the Lincoln estate, Honora stormed to her car, her face a thunderous mask of rage. The moment she got in, she spun around and slapped the woman cowering in the backseat.
The woman cried out, nearly falling from the seat.
“Is it that hard to just listen?! Are you trying to get yourself killed?!” Honora shrieked, her fury boiling over.
The woman held her cheek, too terrified to speak.
Honora glared at her. “You heard him. You have one week! If you haven’t learned how to behave by then, I’ll kill you myself before I let him punish me!”
Her voice was a venomous threat. The woman could only shrink back into the seat, her body wracked with quiet sobs.
Honora looked back through the window, pulled out her phone, and snapped several photos of Larissa and Rigby together.
The current owner of a media company, alone with a scandal-ridden actor? And coming out of his apartment building? What could it be but an affair? It couldn’t possibly be an innocent meeting.
After Larissa got into her car and drove away, Honora lowered her phone, a triumphant smirk spreading across her face. If she leaked this, she refused to believe Haskell would continue to trust Larissa.
“Drive.” Honora leaned back against the seat, a sense of satisfaction washing over her as she scrolled through the pictures. She was already composing the perfect social media storm.
#Larissa And Rigby Affair
Simple, direct, and devastating enough to ruin Larissa’s reputation.
