Larissa lost count of how many times Haskell called her “wife” on their wedding night. All she knew was that she drifted off to sleep wrapped in the sound of that single, affectionate word.

Larissa stretched luxuriously. “Well, your legs are healed, and Grandpa Zoltan has officially named you the heir. You’re just as busy. Neither of us has time to relax right now.”

She cupped his face in her hands and planted a soft kiss on his lips. “Once we’re through this busy period, we’ll make up for it with a proper honeymoon. How does that sound?”

His face lit up. “Perfect. We’ll definitely make up for it.”
