Left for Dead Came Back for Everything novel Chapter 128

Dead silence on the other end of the line for a full second.

Then, an ear-piercing shriek.

"Aaaaaaahhhh! Eliza Shaw!!! What did you just say?! Lucas Evans!!! The Lucas Evans?!"

"Yes, the Lucas Evans."

"Holy shit! Holy shit! Eliza, you're going to be rich! You are taking off!"

"Oh my god! Does this mean I can get autographed photos from the cast?!"

"No, wait! Forget autographs! I want selfies! I'm going to blast them all over my social media!"

"It's way too early for that!" Eliza couldn't help but laugh out loud.

Eliza and Gwen acted like two hamsters hyped up on caffeine, thrashing around on their respective beds for a solid five minutes.

Gwen was still screaming on the other end.

Eliza put the phone on speaker, set it on her nightstand, and started getting dressed while listening to Gwen ramble incoherently.

"Do you know how much the choreographer on Lucas Evans's last show made? Five hundred thousand dollars!"

"I know." Eliza tied her hair up, her tone steadying out.

"But don't celebrate just yet. I haven't even seen the offer letter. I have no idea what the specific terms or expectations are."

"Who cares about the terms! Let a lawyer look at them! The point is—you are finally getting your life back!"

Eliza's eyes grew a little hot.

She was right. She was finally standing on her own two feet again.

She didn't respond immediately, just took a deep breath.

"Yeah! Thank you, Gwen. Once the offer letter comes in, I'll forward it to you."

"Yes, yes, yes! Go check! I'll be waiting!"

After hanging up, Eliza stood in front of her bathroom sink, staring at her reflection in the mirror.

She was thin, much leaner than she had been during her days on stage.

But her eyes were shining.

That bright, fiery spark was something she hadn't possessed a single day she was trapped in the Roth household.

There were no predatory clauses or exclusivity traps.

It was just a clean, professional project contract.

Eliza took screenshots and fired them off to Gwen.

Less than ten seconds later, Gwen replied with a voice memo.

"Fifty thousand dollars!! Aahhhh Eliza! You are incredible!! The girl with five hundred bucks to her name is about to make it big!!"

"Keep it down," Eliza laughed softly. "I'm going to have your brother's lawyer review the terms. If everything looks good, I'll sign off on it."

"Why bother! My brother's lawyer is probably playing golf right now! By the time he looks at it, the opportunity will be gone! Let me review it! I got an A in Business Law!"

"When did you ever take Business Law?"

"Freshman year elective!"

"Did you even pass?"

"That's completely irrelevant!!"

"I'm posting this everywhere! I'm telling everyone! I'm going to be rubbing elbows with A-listers!"
