Let’s Divorce Mrs. Wright Is Done Playing Nice novel Chapter 1071

Sima Mountain?

Stella had heard of the town before, though it was hardly a well-known destination.

It was nowhere near either Seaborne or Eirden. One lay in the west, while Sima Mountain was in the far south.

She instinctively looked toward the window.

Outside, everything was blanketed in white.

Snow was still falling.

The sky was dark, and the town was in the coldest part of its year.

Sima Mountain had only two distinct seasons: winter and spring.

In spring, the entire town came alive with greenery and flowers, looking like something out of a fairy tale. The climate was mild and pleasant then.

Winter was just as magical in its own way.

Back when Stella was still in Harbor City, she had wanted to visit Sima Mountain.

But Evan had never even heard of the place.

Whenever he planned a trip, he preferred lively, glamorous cities.

Stella had always preferred quiet places like this.

She felt as though living somewhere so peaceful could calm even the most restless heart.

She had never expected Felix to bring her here.

Stella glanced at him.

“I remember you mentioning that you liked this place,” Felix said.

Stella fell silent.

She had told him that?

No.

She had never spoken to Felix about Sima Mountain.

How could he possibly know?

Felix seemed to understand her confusion.

“There was a time when you told Evan you wanted to visit. He turned you down.”

Stella remembered now.

After Evan rejected the idea, she had never mentioned Sima Mountain again.

Felix had happened to be there at the time.

She had not expected him to remember something so insignificant.

For a moment, complicated emotions stirred inside her.

She looked at Felix without speaking.

“You’ll need to stay in the hospital for a few more days,” he said. “Once you’re discharged, I’ll take you around town.”

“It’s probably even more beautiful than the pictures and videos you saw online.”

Afterward, however…

As far as Felix was concerned, Aaron had barely behaved like a human being.

Not that Felix considered himself a particularly good man either.

Stella glanced at him.

“What a surprise.”

A faint, mocking smile curved her lips.

The sarcasm in her expression made Felix’s chest tighten.

“Aaron trusts you completely,” Stella continued. “But it seems you don’t return that trust.”

Aaron had absolute faith in Felix.

But judging by the current situation, Felix clearly did not feel the same way about him.

“I only distrust him when it comes to you,” Felix said.

In every other matter, they were excellent partners.

But everything that had happened in Eirden had forced Felix to see certain things clearly.

Stella gave him a cold look.

“When it came to me, you and Aaron were always on the same side.”

“So what exactly are you trying to say now?”
