Once Remi decided she wanted to do something, she just went and did it.
Ivy actually liked that about her.
It was also why Ivy was always in a better mood whenever Remi was around.
Remi was free-spirited.
Unrestrained.
If she wanted something, she went after it. She never let herself be tied down.
Amos said, “Sure, she’s carefree. She’s also irresponsible.”
Ivy shot him a look.
“And who are you to her? What exactly does she owe you?”
Amos fell silent.
Ivy looked back at the note.
“But she said she’s chasing a dream. What dream does she even have?”
That really was puzzling.
Ivy had asked Remi before what she liked or whether there was anything she particularly wanted.
Remi had never had an answer.
She always looked completely bored with life, as though nothing interested her.
And now she was suddenly off chasing a dream?
That was unexpected.
Had the girl finally grown up?
Wait.
Wait. Remi had been pestering her before about those weird tricks for making her cleavage look fuller.
Amos scoffed.
“What kind of dream could a young girl like her have? She’s probably just off having fun.”
As far as Amos was concerned, Remi was at the age where she should be enjoying herself.
Ivy frowned.
“When have you ever seen her goofing around? If anything, I’d believe she fell for someone.”
“Fell for someone? I thought she had zero interest in men.”
And he wasn’t wrong.
Remi really had never shown any interest in men.
Ivy knew that too.
At one point, she had even wondered whether Remi simply wasn’t interested in men at all.
No matter how handsome a man was, Remi barely spared him a glance.
She hadn’t even been interested in someone like Seymour.
So now...
“Then what dream is she chasing?”
That only made it more confusing.
Amos waved it off.
“Who cares? She’ll come back when she gets bored.”
What kind of grand dream could a young woman like her have?
