Let’s Divorce Mrs. Wright Is Done Playing Nice novel Chapter 1196

“Love?”

At the word, disgust flashed through Felix’s eyes.

“Like I need her love.”

“No, you don’t.”

If Remi hadn’t come because she was in love with Felix, then she had to have some other reason.

And as far as Jack could tell, whatever that reason was, it probably had something to do with Felix.

If it wasn’t love, then it was something else.

Either way, it wasn’t good news.

“Keep looking into it,” Felix ordered.

“And Remi?”

“Don’t touch her yet.”

Felix spoke through clenched teeth.

His instincts told him that Remi hadn’t come here for anything simple.

And whatever she was planning might very well involve him.

If they couldn’t simply get rid of her, then for now, she had to remain in the town near Sima Mountain.

They couldn’t just let her walk away.

Remi wasn’t like Jennifer.

No matter what happened between Jennifer and Stella, Jennifer would never betray her.

But Remi was different.

She had only ever been someone assigned to protect Stella.

If they simply let her leave now...

Felix and Stella had both gone through far too much to finally disappear from everyone’s sight.

Stella wouldn’t tolerate anyone destroying the peace she had fought so hard for.

Neither would Felix.

Jack nodded.

“Yes, sir.”

“What about the arrangements to leave?”

“Put them on hold. First, find out why Remi came here.”

“Yes, sir.”

They needed to figure out what Remi was really after before doing anything else.

...

The weather around Sima Mountain gradually cleared, but the air outside remained bitterly cold.

Ever since Stella had been injured, she had become much more sensitive to the cold.

Even though her injuries had mostly healed, she still chilled easily.

Felix was always careful to keep her warm.

“We’ll leave once the weather gets a little warmer.”
