Chapter 1230
Chapter 1230
Something buried deep in Remi’s memories suddenly surfaced, and a flash of coldness crossed her eyes.
It vanished almost immediately.
But Stella still caught it.
“Feelings?” Stella murmured.
As far as she was concerned, she no longer believed in something like love at all.
Yet Remi said Felix had feelings for her.
Then again, who hadn’t?
Even Evan had.
Maybe some people simply felt more than others.
Love itself was never perfect.
And perhaps expecting it to be whole and flawless had always been unrealistic.
Felix’s sudden reappearance threw everyone into an uproar.
All their earlier suspicions had now been confirmed.
At the Hogarth estate, Yara remained cold toward Aaron.
And Aaron, in turn, was no longer as forceful and overbearing with her as he had been before.
His earlier ruthlessness had come from his hatred of the Wright family.
But now, that hatred had turned out to be based on a misunderstanding.
Worse, the misunderstanding had already led to consequences that could never be undone.
For the first time in his life, Aaron understood what guilt felt like.
Especially after learning that the false leads Gray had received had come from Felix’s side.
His anger toward Felix immediately reached a boiling point.
“She still hasn’t eaten?”
The maid nodded carefully.
“No, sir.”
Aaron’s expression turned colder.
He took a drag from the cigar in his hand, his eyes dark and unreadable.

No one in the room dared make a sound.
Finally, Aaron stood and headed straight for Yara’s room.
Ever since Evan had been sent back to Harbor City, Yara had been withdrawn and miserable.
She barely left her room.
As for eating, she skipped more meals than she actually ate.
The door flew open with a bang.
Aaron stepped inside and immediately saw Yara standing by the window in a white nightgown, staring outside.
Gloom seemed to cling to her entire body.
He walked over and pulled her into his arms.
“Why haven’t you eaten? You didn’t touch breakfast either.”
She hadn’t eaten in the morning.
And now she was skipping lunch too.
“I’m not hungry.”
Without another word, Aaron swept her into his arms.
The sudden loss of balance made Yara instinctively grab his shirt.
“What are you doing? Put me down.”
“I’m taking you to eat.”
“I told you, I’m not hungry.”
“You don’t have to be hungry, but…”
Aaron paused.
He lowered his gaze to the woman in his arms, whose eyes were already red with grievance.
“Your brother may be in Harbor City right now, but I can still invite him back to Eirden anytime.”
The way he said the word “invite” carried an unmistakable threat.
Yara’s breath caught.
She stared at him with reddened eyes.
A second later, even the tip of her nose turned red.
By the time Aaron carried Yara downstairs to the dining room, the butler had already ordered the staff to serve

lunch.
Most of the dishes had been prepared to suit Harbor City tastes.
Aaron placed a bowl of seafood porridge in front of her.
“Eat.”
Just one word.
But the warning underneath it was obvious.
Yara looked at him.
“Why did Felix go back to Harbor City?”
