Chapter 1263

Yara was forcibly taken away on her way back to the Hogarth estate.

Aaron was at Hogarth Corporation when he got the news.

The moment Gray called, his expression tightened.

“Who took her?”

Anyone capable of taking Yara right out of Gray’s hands clearly wasn’t ordinary.

And there was something unusually grave beneath Gray’s otherwise calm tone.

“Your father’s people.”

Aaron went silent.

“Ms. Wright ran into Miss Rowan outside the hospital today,” Gray continued. “Your father probably found out and got angry.”

Aaron’s eyes narrowed.

“They got her back that fast?”

He had thought it would take David several more days to find Stella.

He hadn’t expected David to bring her back this quickly.

“Yes,” Gray said. “Things were very tense between the two of them.”

He didn’t elaborate.

The implication was obvious.

Stella had been upset.

Michael had probably found out.

And now Yara had been taken away.

Aaron’s temple began to throb.

He knew his father’s methods were far more ruthless and decisive than his own.

If Michael had suddenly ordered Yara taken away, there was no chance this would end well.

Aaron shot to his feet and strode out of the office.

“Find out where they took her. Now.”

Finding someone Michael’s people had deliberately hidden would not be easy.

But Aaron had to locate her as soon as possible.

Damn it.

How had Yara even found out Stella was coming back today?

And why the hell had she gone to the hospital just to confront her?

Chapter 1083

Had she lost her mind?

Did she have any idea what state Michael had been in over Stella these past few months?

Going after Stella at a time like this wasn’t just provoking Stella.

It was practically stabbing Michael straight where it hurt most.

Michael had only just gotten his daughter back.

There was no question how fiercely protective he would be of her now.

By the time Aaron reached the hospital, Stella still hadn’t woken up.

She had truly been exhausted.

Michael had finally managed to calm her down enough for her to relax, and for the first time in a long while, she was sleeping peacefully.

Bang!

The door slammed hard against the wall as Aaron rushed into the room.

At the sound, a cold flash immediately entered Michael’s eyes.

Stella stirred awake too.

She had barely opened her sleepy eyes when Michael reached over and gently touched her cheek.

“Go back to sleep, sweetheart.”

Still half asleep, Stella murmured,

“What was that?”

“Just a stray dog barging in,” Michael said. “It’s already been chased out.’

He deliberately blocked her line of sight, so Stella never saw that Aaron was standing there.

Hearing that it was only a dog, she nodded sleepily, turned over, and went back to sleep.

She really was exhausted.

Everything with Evan and Felix had drained her physically and emotionally.

Day after day, she hadn’t been eating properly or sleeping well.

And now, finally back beside Michael…

Even though he had disappointed her before, being near him this time had given her a rare sense of security.

Before long, Stella was fast asleep again.

Michael waited until he was certain she was sleeping before standing and walking out of the room.

Aaron was waiting in the hall.

The moment Michael stepped outside and closed the door behind him, he slapped Aaron hard across the face.
