Chapter 152
Stella had fed the porridge to Evan herself.
And the fact that Evan was now in the hospital was real.
The police told Stella she needed to come in for questioning, but she knew exactly what that meant.
If she went with them, the Wright family would find every possible way to make sure she never got back out.
Fiona glared at her viciously. “After what you did, you can spend the rest of your life rotting in there.”
She was certain Stella had done it.
And this time, not even Felix would be able to get her out.
Her mother had already started making arrangements. Once Stella was taken in, all kinds of “evidence” would point straight at her.
Faced with Fiona’s malice, Stella only curled her lips into a faint, contemptuous smile.
As she passed by her, Fiona grabbed her wrist and hissed, “You’re way too arrogant.’
She looked straight at Stella.
Even now, at a moment like this, Stella still wore that mocking smile.
How could anyone not hate that kind of arrogance?
Summer’s reputation had already been completely destroyed across all of Harbor City because of her.
Even the Wright family had been dragged down.
And Fiona’s own marriage prospects had been badly affected too.
She hated Stella to the core.
Stella turned to her. “You really like Felix, don’t you?”
Fiona froze.
Her face changed instantly.
“What are you trying to do now?”
Stella laughed softly. “With the way you are, forget Felix not wanting you. If the Hernandez family actually approve of you, I’d say they’ve gone blind with age.”
“You…”
Stella smiled. “As for you and Felix? It’s not happening.”
“You… you…” Fiona’s face twisted with rage. Then she shouted at the officers, “Take her away. Hurry up and get this vicious woman out of here!”
She had liked Felix quietly for years.

And now that she finally had a chance with hitn, how could she possibly stand hearing someone say they would never happen?
Seeing Fiona so furious only made Stella laugh harder.
It was open mockery. A slap in the face, Pure ridicule for her helpless rage.
Fiona fumed. “Even if Evan wants to protect you this time, don’t think you’re getting out.”
Her mother had already said it back at the hospital.
That woman was a disaster.
Now that they had finally gotten her locked up, there was no way they were going to let her walk free so easily.
And Old Mrs. Wright was returning from the nursing home too.
When that happened, even if Evan wanted to shield Stella, he would still have to think about his grandmother’s health.
Stella turned back and looked at Fiona.
The smile on her face only deepened.
After one glance, she looked away and got into the police car.
The siren wailed as it drove off.
Fiona stood there, furious enough to stomp her foot. Unbelievable. That woman is absolutely insane.”
She had spent all these years living off the Wright family, so what exactly was she so arrogant about?
Even now, she could still smile.
This time, she should be locked up for good and never allowed out again.
That was what Fiona thought.
But over here…
Not long after the police car left Mount Lara, the lead officer got a phone call.
No one knew what was said on the other end.
But after listening, he turned and looked back at Stella.
Stella raised a brow and met his gaze calmly.
A flicker of panic crossed his eyes.
