Chapter 164
Jennifer spent the whole night complaining.
Stella, on the other hand, seemed almost used to things like this by now. Faced with all of it, her reaction was surprisingly mild.
Jennifer was the one too angry to sleep.
She kept tossing and turning in bed. “Seriously, do you think Evan really doesn’t see it, or is he pretending not to? I refuse to believe he can’t see what Summer’s really like.”
Wright Group had flourished in his hands all these years.
A man that capable at running a company seriously couldn’t see through Summer?
Stella said flatly, “Enough. Aren’t you tired? Go to sleep.”
“You can still sleep at a time like this?” Jennifer shot back. “I’m telling you, if I were you, I’d be losing my mind trying to get a divorce.”
A man like that?
Every extra day his name stayed in your spouse box was one more day to feel miserable.
If she didn’t divorce him soon, she might die of anger first.
Stella said, “Why would I lose my mind? Let them do that.”
The entire Wright family had already gone crazy.
Especially now that she was taking back everything they had stolen from her before.
That alone was enough to drive them insane.
Jennifer was about to keep going.
But Stella’s breathing had already evened out.
She was asleep.
Jennifer: “…”
She can really sleep through this?
Alright. Fine.
Just like Stella said, the ones who ought to be losing it were the Wrights.
Her emotions really were weirdly stable now.
So she only saved the crazy for the Wright family?
Had she turned going crazy on the Wright family into some kind of… job?
Now that none of them were here, she could eat well and sleep well?

Okay. Not bad.
Calm, with a touch of madness.
She saved the calm for herself and gave the madness to the Wright family.
Jennifer stayed awake until deep into the night.
Just as she was finally drifting off, her phone started vibrating and woke her up
She didn’t want to answer it.
But Stella, half asleep and annoyed, kicked her several times. “Your phone.”
Even through the drowsiness, her voice was clearly irritated.
She hated being woken up by phone calls while she was sleeping.
Jennifer, just as annoyed, grabbed her phone without even checking the number and answered, “Hello?”
“Where is Stella?”
Evan’s voice came through the line, gritted through clenched teeth.
Jennifer: “…”
Still foggy with sleep, her brain barely working, she casually answered, “Sleeping, obviously. Where else would she be in the middle of the night?”
“Where is she sleeping?”
“In my bed.”
Then Jennifer hung up.
So annoying.
Middle of the night and he was looking for his wife again.
He lost his own wife and now he was running everyone else ragged over it.
What was wrong with him?
Back at the hospital, Evan’s face had turned storm-dark, his expression terrifying.
“She was never taken in?” he said coldly, danger dripping from every word.
So she had never gone in at all.
He let out a bitter laugh.
He had underestimated her again.
Patrick nodded. “That’s right. She got out of the car halfway there.”
