“Then search everything around Mountain Road!”
Just thinking about Felix deliberately avoiding him to go have lunch with Stella made Evan’s anger explode.
He hung up and slammed his fist hard against the steering wheel.
Stella…
Good. Very good.
The image of her feeding him that poisoned porridge yesterday flashed through his mind,
Calm. Steady.
Not a single tremor in her hand.
Bite after bite.
Like she had no hesitation at all.
His phone started vibrating again.
This time, it was from the company.
Lately, Stella’s constant push for divorce had thrown him completely off balance. Even his work had started slipping.
He picked up. “What is it?”
“Sir, you need to come to the office immediately. There’s a problem with the Puya project.”
Evan’s expression darkened. “What happened?”
That project was one of Wright Group’s key developments this year.
And it was already halfway through.
How could something suddenly go wrong?
“Someone tampered with it. It’s hard to explain over the phone. Please come back as soon as possible.”
The tone on the other end was serious.
Clearly, this was not something minor.
The call ended.
Evan’s temples throbbed.
He slammed his fist against the steering wheel again in frustration.
Then he started the car and sped toward the office.
He wanted to see exactly who had the nerve to sabotage Wright Group.
ple
On Felix’s side-
He had already arrived at Mount Pansworth.
Stella was dressed in casual home clothes
She was slim, and the rose-colored chunky knit sweater hung loosely on her frame.
When she saw him, she stood up. “Mr. Felix.”
Her tone was polite.
Felix took off his coat and handed it to the housekeeper. “Thank you.”
“You’re too kind,” the housekeeper replied.
Felix walked over, casually unfastening his cuffs.
He did not like feeling restricted indoors.
The ease in his movements made him look completely at home.
Every gesture carried a quiet elegance.
He sat down across from Stella. “You don’t have to call me ‘Mr. Felix’ anymore.”
Stella blinked, “?”
Then what was she supposed to call him?
She looked at him. “Should I call you… Felix? Or ‘big brother’ or something?”
Evan and the others had always called him that.
Among them, Evan was the second eldest.
Everyone called Felix “big brother” and Evan “second brother.”
At the word “brother,” Felix’s expression paused for a brief second.
“You can just call me Felix.”
He clearly was not fond of that title.
Stella nodded. “Alright.”
Though honestly, she still preferred “Mr. Felix.” It kept a comfortable distance.
“I’m really sorry about all of this lately,” she said.
This had been between her and Evan.
But Evan had dragged Felix into it.
Felix shook his head. “No need to apologize. I promised your brother I’d look out for you.”

Her brother… Hargreaves Yari.
Back on the phone, her brother had frever gone into detail about his relationship with Felix.
But from the way Felix said it now, it sounded like they had known each other for a long time.
“You and my brother… are close?”
