Chapter 186
The kiss came down hard
Stella kept turning away, but the more she dodged, the more forceful Evan became.
He was addicted to her.
To her scent.
To her taste.
She dragged him under and made him lose control every time.
Just as Evan was about to completely lose it, the housekeeper rushed in. “Sir!”
The moment he saw what was happening, he startled and immediately turned his back.
Evan’s face darkened with fury at the interruption. “Get out.”
“I would, but there are a lot of people outside. From Eirden.” The housekeeper wanted to get out too.
But there were at least fifty of them outside, so he had no choice but to report it.
The moment Evan heard that so many people from Eirden had arrived, he was fully pulled out of it.
He got up from Stella, his face still dark.
Stella pushed herself up from the couch and slapped him across the face again.
Evan’s expression turned even colder.
After taking the slap, he looked at her and grabbed her wrist again. “How many times have you slapped me today?”
Stella tried to pull her hand free, but couldn’t.
“You always have the option not to deserve it.
A laugh slipped out of Evan. “My dear wife can hit me if she wants. You already fed me poison. What’s a couple of slaps?”
With that, he let go of her.
Stella glared at him. “You’re insane.”
You can’t even protect your own wife, and now you think acting like a madman will keep her by your side?
Pathetic.
Evan gave a low laugh. “As long as you know I’m shameless, that’s enough.”
Stella: “…”
Evan glanced at the housekeeper.
That one look made the housekeeper’s heart jump.

But Evan said nothing. He looked away and headed outside.

The moment he stepped out of the villa, he saw a crowd of people from Eirden waiting there.
At the front was Gray, the man who had been going in and out with Stella these past few days.
Seeing that group, Evan lit a cigarette and put it between his lips.
Gray stepped forward. “Mr. Wright, I’m here to pick her up.
A while ago, more than ten bodyguards had rushed in at once.
And yet Gray didn’t have a mark on him.
To Evan, that only confirmed that the people Felix had placed around Stella were highly capable.
Evan pulled out his phone and called Felix.
Felix clearly had no desire to deal with him. He only answered on the third call.
“What is it now?”
By now, Felix had no patience left for him at all.
Whatever brotherhood they once had was completely gone..
Evan’s voice turned cold. “What do you mean, what is it? I should be asking you that. What exactly are you trying to pull?”
Felix said nothing.
Evan went on, “Coming to take her by force? Felix, you’ve really got some nerve. My marriage isn’t even over yet, and you’re already sending your people to take my wife?”
On the other end, Felix only felt more certain that something was wrong with Evan.
