Let’s Divorce Mrs. Wright Is Done Playing Nice novel Chapter 316

Chapter 316

Because the Hogarth Group kept eating into Wright Corp’s overseas projects-

Evan was completely overwhelmed.

He had spent the entire night in meetings with his international management team.

He hadn’t even gone home-

And now it was already the next workday.

Patrick, who had stayed up with him the whole night, looked just as exhausted. He told Warner to make a cup of coffee and bring it into the office.

Seeing how worn out Patrick looked, Warner muttered, “Seriously, what did we even do to offend the Hogarth Group?”

And now she had to deliver coffee to the boss?

Wasn’t that basically asking to die?

With the tension in the company these past few days, she was seriously considering telling her dad she didn’t want this “work experience” anymore.

Going to work felt like walking into a battlefield.

Patrick shot her a look. “With that mouth of yours, don’t be surprised if HR fires you one day and you don’t even know why. Watch your attitude.”

“Watch my attitude?” Warner pouted.

What about the boss? Wasn’t he coming to work full of anger every day too?

Besides… she almost wished HR WOULD fire her.

At least then she’d have a proper excuse to give her father.

These past few days had been torture.

Still grumbling under her breath, she made the coffee and brought it into Evan’s office.

The moment she stepped inside, she saw him on the phone.

His face was dark, and the aura around him was cold and dangerous.

Warner immediately set the coffee down and slipped out without a word.

She didn’t dare stay a second longer.

Honestly, when she thought about it-

The boss had it rough too.

His wife was making a scene, and the Hogarth Group was targeting him from all sides.

He was getting crushed from both directions.

Once Warner left, Evan was alone.

His brows were tightly furrowed.

“She brought how many people? Twenty?” he said into the phone.

“Get back here right now and get her out of there. I don’t want to see her!”

Dora’s furious voice rang from the other end.

But when Evan heard that Stella had moved back into the main residence-

His headache only worsened.

What was she thinking?

Was she that happy living there before?

If she wanted to move, why not go back to Mount Lara?

Why go back to the old estate?

Before he could respond, Dora snapped again, “Let me tell you, Summer’s already been discharged. She’s still in confinement!”

After everything Stella had done last time-

Dora had no reason to believe she was coming back to play the obedient daughter-in-law.

Who knew what kind of chaos she was about to stir up?

Evan pinched the bridge of his nose. “I’ll come back right away.”

“Hurry up! Get her out of there. I can’t stand even one more minute!”

Dora was practically shouting.

Evan stood up as he hung up.

But the moment he stepped out of his office, Patrick stopped him.

“Sir, Director Garner is here. He’s waiting in the conference room.”

“Now?”

Patrick nodded. “Yes. And he doesn’t look happy.”

Director Garner was one of the original partners who had built the company alongside Evan’s father. He held a significant share.

With the company facing such major issues, of course he was furious.

Evan glanced at the time on his watch.

“Let’s go.

In the end, he couldn’t go back to the Wright estate.

He turned and headed toward the conference room instead.
