Chapter 32

Stella had grown up alone.

From childhood until now, she had had no one to rely on.

No matter what kind of injustice she suffered, she had always been the one to fight back for herself.

She wasn’t the type to take a hit and stay quiet.

Before, when Summer crossed the line, Stella had lacked solid proof. Without evidence, she would never act recklessly.

But now?

Now the proof was undeniable.

And Evan still wanted her to let Summer go?

He wanted an explanation.

Instead

“I’m not as shameless as you,” Stella said flatly.

“Stella 99

But she had already hung up.

The only time she had called him in two days… was to defend another man.

And she hung up on him for that man.

Evan exploded.

He hurled his phone onto the carpet. It hit with a dull thud, bounced once, and rolled to a stop at Felix’s feet.

Felix looked down at it.

Whatever warmth remained between them as brothers had vanished.

“Felix,” Evan demanded, breathing hard, you’d better explain-”

“We’re not as shameless as you,” Felix cut in coldly.

Evan froze. “What did you say?”

Felix’s gaze turned glacial.
