Let’s Divorce Mrs. Wright Is Done Playing Nice novel Chapter 404

Chapter 404

Stella picked up the glass in front of her and took a sip of water. “You already showed me a photo like that. Do I really need to keep hiding it from you?

“You’ve always been smart, and you’re way too curious. If I didn’t tell you, wouldn’t it eat you alive?”

Lucas fell silent.

Honestly, he would rather it had eaten him alive.

Now he knew something huge.

Worse, it was something that’could put him in danger.

Lucas asked, “Does Felix know about your relationship with Aaron?”

Aaron Hogarth.

In Eirden, that name alone was enough to make people uneasy.

Who would have thought Stella was his sister?

So everything Wright Corporation had suffered lately really was because of Stella.

Stella gave Lucas a sideways glance. “Still asking?”

“Nope. Not asking. I’m not curious at all. I don’t want to know a thing.”

Dear God.

If he kept asking, his family might really be finished.

Lucas had already felt sorry for Stella because of what she had gone through in the Wright family, so he hadn’t planned to sincerely persuade her today anyway.

Now, there was no need to persuade her at all.

There was no persuading her.

If he pissed her off, he’d go down with the rest of them.

When trying to break up a fight, you still had to know who was fighting.

If the person stepping in was going to get hit too, it was better to stay far away.

“If you’re not curious anymore, go back to work,” Stella said. “Your father seems very eager to retire lately.”

Lucas sighed. “You really do know everything.”

A woman this sharp.

And the entire Wright family had once actually thought they could bully her.

This woman was not someone to mess with.

When she was gentle, she was truly gentle.

But once things turned ugly, she didn’t care about looking proper at all.

Lucas left.

Stella set down her glass. Gray came up behind her respectfully. “What did Mr. Carter say?”

“He saw the photo of me and my brother on Jane Gass’s public account.”

“The one from your trip to Eirden last year?”

Stella gave a soft hum.

Jane Gass was an adorable old man who loved posting everything online.

His account was full of photos with other people, along with pictures from his mountain climbs and expeditions.

“Will he tell Mr. Wright?” Gray asked. “Should we do something? Give him a warning?”

“No.”

Gray had barely finished speaking before Stella cut him off.

Lucas had always had a decent relationship with her. Back when she first started her studio, he had helped her quite a bit.

And he had never told Evan about any of it.

That meant Lucas might look unreliable on the surface, but he actually knew how to keep his mouth shut.

Gray nodded. “Understood.”

“Oh, right.”

Stella seemed to remember something.

Her eyes lifted slightly. “Tell the people outside that starting tonight, Evan’s car has to be parked outside

too.”

“Yes,” Gray said with a nod.

After receiving the order, he quickly passed the message along.

Starting tonight, Evan’s car would no longer be allowed inside either.

After Lucas left the Wright residence, he was still a little dazed.
