Let’s Divorce Mrs. Wright Is Done Playing Nice novel Chapter 420

Chapter 470

Evan turned to go find Stella.

But her people stopped him again, saying she was taking her afternoon nap and no one was allowed to disturb her.

Evan was so furious his chest felt like it might burst.

She said she wouldn’t divorce him.

But was this how she planned to continue being his wife?

In his own home, the place was now full of strangers, all of them her people.

Even as her husband, if he wanted to see her, he needed her permission.

“My flight is at five,” Evan said. “Tell her I have something to discuss with her.”

“Sorry. No one is allowed to disturb our lady during her nap.”

No matter what Evan said, Stella’s people only gave him that one answer.

In short, he could wait if he wanted.

Back at Inkwood Manor, Stella had always been the one waiting for him.

Now the roles had not only reversed, but she had taken it even further.

Evan closed his eyes. “My flight is at five.”

His car couldn’t even drive in. He still had to walk out first.

What kind of situation was this?

“There’s nothing we can do about that.”

The other party was completely unmoved.

They were just like he had once been. Back when Stella had told him about Summer, hadn’t he treated her the same way?

Evan could barely contain his anger.

He wanted to force his way in.

But he had already seen what these people could do. If Stella didn’t want to see him, he couldn’t see her at all.

The humiliation and frustration nearly drove him mad.

In the end, he didn’t get to discuss anything with Stella.

Furious, he turned and went downstairs.

After Patrick received Evan’s call, he waited at the intersection the whole time.

He waited almost forty minutes before Evan finally walked out.

Facing Evan tow, Patrick had no idea what to say.

He had truly never seen a man suffer this badly in a marriage.

Usually, it was the woman who suffered.

Who would have thought that Evan would marry a woman from an orphanage and still end up this miserable?

“Go to the airport.”

Evan pinched the bridge of his aching nose.

Patrick said, “We can’t go to the airport.”

Evan had closed his eyes, but at those words, they flew open.

“What do you mean?”

“We’ve been banned from entering Eirden by Hogarth Group.”

Evan went silent.

Banned from entering Eirden by Hogarth Group?

This trip had originally been to meet with Hogarth Group executives.

At the very least, he had to figure out why they were targeting him.

But now he couldn’t even go to Eirden?

Then what was he supposed to do about all the trouble Wright Corporation was facing?

For a moment, Evan couldn’t even find his voice. His head was buzzing.

He kept asking himself why.

But he couldn’t give himself an answer.

That was right.

Why?

Why exactly?

Patrick said, “Wright Corporation is probably in serious trouble this time.”

His tone was heavy.

Now, even if Evan wanted to solve the problem, he had nowhere to go.

A hostile aura radiated from Evan.

Trouble?
