Chapter 438
Now that Evan had seen Stella and Felix acting with no intention of hiding anything, every part of him hurt from rage.
Lucas had originally wanted to take him somewhere to eat, but Evan couldn’t go to a restaurant in his current state.
After so many years of brotherhood, Lucas eventually went to a restaurant himself, got takeout, and brought it to Wright Corporation so he and Evan could eat there.
Evan hadn’t eaten properly these past few days.
Lucas looked at him and sighed. His lips moved as if he wanted to say something, but in the end, he said nothing.
He still didn’t dare mention Hogarth Group.
He didn’t know what Stella’s plan was, and if he said anything carelessly, Lucas Corporation might not survive either.
Evan asked, “Have you seen Felix lately?”
“Don’t ask me to persuade anyone again,” Lucas said.
He couldn’t persuade Stella, and from the look of things, Felix hated Evan to the bone too.
As for why Felix hated Evan so much, Lucas still wasn’t clear.
All he knew was that lately, Hogarth Group was targeting Evan, and Felix was targeting Evan too.
After learning about Stella’s connection to Hogarth Group, Lucas could understand why Hogarth Group was going after Wright Corporation.
But what about Felix?
Why was Felix doing it?
He seemed to hate Evan even more than Hogarth Group did.
Evan fell silent.
す
Hearing Lucas say that, he didn’t know what to say for a moment.
His friendship was gone.
His marriage was gone.
Everything was gone.
He felt as if all these years had been nothing but a joke.
Lucas still couldn’t figure it out. Driven by curiosity, he finally asked, “What exactly happened between you and Felix?”
At first, he had simply thought Felix was targeting Wright Corporation because of Stella.

But now Felix was becorning more and more ruthless.
Lucas felt there had to be more to it.
When Evan heard Lucas ask what had happened between him and Felix, pain flashed through his eyes.
What happened?
No.
It was not just a conflict.
After Felix found out about that incident, what he felt toward Evan was hatred.
At the Wright residence, Summer couldn’t stay there any longer either.
Stella was truly ruthless.
Harold had originally sent Mrs. Mendes over to shield Summer from trouble.
No matter what Stella’s people assigned them to do, Mrs. Mendes would complete Summer’s share too.
And because Mrs. Mendes did more work, Summer would get some food as well.
But today, the amount of work suddenly increased.
By dinner, Mrs. Mendes still had not finished.
Summer hadn’t eaten lunch.
She had thought that once Mrs. Mendes finished the work, she would at least get something to eat for
dinner.
But dinner never came either.
When she went to check, she saw Mrs. Mendes still working.
There were piles of clothes, stacks of dishes, the basement waiting to be deep-cleaned, the roof deck waiting to be cleaned, and plenty of other random chores piled up for Mrs. Mendes to handle.
Mrs. Mendes had already done some of it, but there was still so much left.
When she saw Summer, her expression didn’t look good. “Miss Bailey, you should go back to your room and rest.”
“How much longer?”
“The glass canopy on the roof hasn’t been cleaned yet, and the basement still needs a full deep clean.”
Summer’s face darkened. “Why is there so much work today?”
