Chapter 442
Stella was right.
Back during Summer’s postpartum recovery, Summer hadn’t liked those soups anyway.
She had spent that time pretending to have episodes, threatening to jump off buildings and throw herself
into the sea.
So naturally, she didn’t need to drink them now either.
“Are you going to help Mrs. Mendes with the work, or are you going back to your room to keep lying around?”
Stella looked at Summer.
The gentleness in her eyes was laced with poison, wearing Summer’s nerves down bit by bit.
Summer said, “I gave birth to two children for the Wright family. Since you’re the one in charge of this family now, you can’t treat me like this.”
“Did you give birth to them for me?”
Summer froze.
Her heart sank even further.
While Summer had been recovering after childbirth, Stella had still allowed Mrs. Mendes to do Summer’s
work for her.
That had been the last bit of restraint Stella had shown.
But now things were different.
Summer had finished her recovery.
Naturally, she had to be treated the same as Dora and Fiona.
At Stella’s words, Summer nearly fainted from anger. “You’re deliberately torturing me
“Yes.”
Still just one word.
Summer’s face froze.
She stared at Stella, breathless. No matter what she said, Stella admitted everything so openly that Summer suddenly didn’t know what else to say.
Seeing that Summer had been rendered speechless, Stella laughed softly.
“Well? At least I’m honest about it, aren’t I? I’m not like you, hiding everything you’ve done and refusing to admit it until it turns into the thing that haunts you.’
“What did I do? Stop making things up.”

Al Stella’s blunt words, Summer’s face turned an ugly shade.
Haunt her?
No.
She wasn’t haunted by anything.
All she could think about now was why Stella still hadn’t paid the price for her child’s death.
All the evidence clearly pointed to Stella.
So why was she still able to run wild in the Wright residence?
Why exactly was Felix protecting her like this?
Stella only smiled at her in silence.
Just then, Dora hurried downstairs to find Stella.
“Fiona has a fever again. Hurry and have someone send a car so we can take her to the hospital.”
It was late at night.
They had spent all of last night struggling at the hospital. They hadn’t even wanted to come back today.
But because they were members of the Wright family, no hospital would take them in now.
And after they came home, Fiona’s fever returned.
Even after taking fever medicine, it wouldn’t go down.
Because Dora was anxious, her voice sounded frantic and angry.
Stella raised an eyebrow. “Are you giving me an order?”
“What are you talking about? This is a matter of life and death. Are you still going to make trouble?”
“A matter of life and death?”
At that, Stella laughed again.
୮
“Do you remember what you said to Evan when I lost my child two years ago and had to go to the hospital?”
Dora froze.
Stella said, “That day, Summer hit me with her car. Evan wanted to take me to the hospital, but you said i probably wasn’t a big deal. You said we could just call a doctor to come to the house and check on me.’
Dora froze.
