Let’s Divorce Mrs. Wright Is Done Playing Nice novel Chapter 481

Chapter 481

Everyone had left.

Gray handed Stella a cup of fruit tea. “Forcing her to tear off her own mask is the cruelest punishment of all.”

Stella laughed when she heard that.

“The only pity is that Evan won’t believe it.”

Gray said, “Even if he doesn’t believe you, he won’t fully believe Summer either.”

Stella raised a brow and looked at him.

Gray said, “Men care about their pride sometimes.”

At that, Stella laughed even harder. “Pride?”

“Then his pride really is suffocating at times.”

A marriage was supposed to be built on honesty.

But because of his pride, everything had turned into a complete mess.

Not that it mattered anymore.

After all, Stella would not be the one enduring Evan Wright for the rest of his life.

Just as Gray had guessed, Summer’s situation was nothing more than Evan stubbornly trying to save face in front

of Stella.

Or perhaps, after years of Summer whispering things in his ear, he had simply grown used to not believing Stella.

So today, even though he had already begun to suspect Summer, he still wanted to find a reason.

A reason that would make Steven’s death seem a little less humiliating,

So he chose to believe Summer.

He convinced himself Stella had forced her.

He was provoking Stella’s nerves.

At the same time, he was lying to himself.

After leaving the Wright estate, Evan called Patrick.

“Look into it. Find out when Summer first started having contact with Frank. Also…”

At this point, Evan narrowed his eyes dangerously.

A face identical to his own flashed through his mind.

In the next second, the coldness in his eyes sharpened.

“Reopen the investigation into the plane crash.”

There had been suspicions before.

At the very beginning, they had suspected Frank had tampered with something, since he and Steven had never gotten along.

Now, there was another possible motive for Frank to have acted.

“Understood,” Patrick replied.

Evan quickened his pace.

After hanging up on Patrick, he called Stella.

A short while later, she answered.

“What is it?”

Her voice was cold and emotionless.

Evan’s grip on the phone tightened. “When do you plan to divorce me?”

“So you’ve decided I forced Summer?”

“Whether you did or not doesn’t matter anymore.”

In any case, everything was connected to Stella.

Even if she had not done that particular thing, the Wright family had ended up like this because of her. There was no way she had nothing to do with it.

Evan did not want to keep enduring this.

Right now, all he wanted was to divorce Stella and let the Wright family return to peace.

Stella let out a soft scoff.

Evan said, “Don’t think that man from Eirden you’ve latched on to can give you anything. Christian has a family. Stella, I really overestimated you before. You refused to remain a proper Mrs. Wright, only to follow a married man from Eirden with no title and no status.”

Evan was probably furious.

So now, the moment he found an opening, he stabbed at Stella with everything he had.

When Stella heard him mention Christian over the phone, and heard how certain he was about her relationship with him, she froze at first.

Then she laughed softly.
