Chapter 485
“You’re right. She’s trying to uproot the entire Bailey family.”
Only hatred pushed to the extreme could make someone do that.
So everything Stella had done to the Bailey family was revenge against Summer because she had lost her child?
Before this, no matter what Stella said, Evan had always thought she was being unreasonable.
But now…
Evan was starting to believe her.
After all, everything Stella had done recently required a hatred deep enough to sustain it.
But belief still needed evidence.
“Investigate everything,” Evan said through gritted teeth.
Patrick nodded. “Yes, sir. We’re already looking into it.”
But many of these things would not be easy to uncover. If Summer had decided to do those things back then, she would have covered her tracks well.
No.
Actually, this was the best time to investigate.
Before, whenever they looked into anything involving Summer, Ruby would interfere the moment she found out.
But things were different now.
Ruby was in Eirden, and Summer was trapped at the old mansion under Stella’s control.
Right now, no one could interfere.
This was the best opportunity to dig everything up.
Evan was rushing to meet an important client.
But just as his car stopped, he saw the man he was supposed to meet standing at the entrance of the building not far away, warmly shaking hands with Felix.
The man even personally escorted Felix to his car.
In that instant, a cold glint flashed in Evan’s eyes.
Patrick saw it too.
He glanced at Evan through the rearview mirror. “Sir, that’s Mr. Hernandez…”
Felix was here.
He had come to see Mr. Watsons before Evan could.
Mr. Watsons had always kept a low profile in Harbour City, but his network in Eirden could not be underestimated.

There was no doubt about that.
This time, Wright Group had suffered a massive blow in Eirden, and Evan still wanted to salvage the situation.
So for the past week, he had been trying to arrange a meeting with Mr. Watsons.
They had agreed to meet today.
But Evan had just arrived, and Felix had already finished speaking with him and was leaving.
What exactly had Felix discussed with Mr. Watsons?
Evan clenched his fists.
As Felix’s car passed his, Evan clearly saw Felix glance toward him with cold, shadowed eyes.
He had come to see Mr. Watsons on purpose.
That thought flashed through Evan’s mind almost instantly.
His expression darkened further.
“Follow him.”
The moment the two cars passed each other, Evan gave Patrick the order in a cold voice.
Patrick nodded, turned the car around, and followed.
In the car ahead, Jack checked the license plate behind them and said to Felix, “Sir, Mr. Wright is following us.”
“Pull over.”
A deep, cold smile curved Felix’s lips.
Jack nodded, switched on the turn signal, and pulled over in a safe spot by the road.
A moment later, Evan’s car stopped in front of theirs.
Evan got out and strode toward Felix’s car. Then he stopped directly outside Felix’s door.
The window rolled down.
Felix looked at Evan with a deep, unreadable gaze. There was no warmth left in his eyes, none of the warmth that should have existed between brothers.
Evan gritted his teeth. “What did you say to Mr. Watsons?”
“I told him not to let you use his connections in Eirden.”
Evan froze.
Felix answered plainly and directly, without the slightest attempt to hide it.
Evan’s mind buzzed.
