Chapter 666
If they were talking about Stella being ruthless, then yes, she truly was ruthless.
Evan could not enter any commercial district. Even when he returned to his own home, he had to get out halfway and walk the rest of the way in.
Hearing Jennifer say this, Stella said, “That’s nothing. It isn’t enough. It’s nowhere near enough.”
Jennifer said nothing.
It really was not enough.
But when it came to Evan…
Thinking of how good he had once been to Stella, Jennifer could not help saying, “Without Summer, you two probably wouldn’t have ended up like this.”
After all, what stood between Stella and Evan was not some simple conflict between a wife and her
mother-in-law.
A sister-in-law?
What did that count as?
That was the kind of relationship no woman could tolerate.
Stella said nothing.
Hearing Jennifer’s words, she fell silent.
After a long while, just when Jennifer thought she would not answer, Stella finally said, “We still would
have.”
Jennifer froze for a moment.
Then she looked at Stella, and several scenes flashed through her mind. “That’s true. There’s your
mother too.”
Once the truth came out that Stella’s mother had been killed by Dora, the people Stella would settle accounts with would be Dora and Harold.
At that point, could Evan, caught in the middle, really let her do that?
So whether Summer existed or not, Stella and Evan would still have reached this point.
Stella’s phone buzzed.
Felix was calling.
Stella answered. “Jennifer is with me.

“Hmm?”
Her first sentence made the man on the other end pause.
Stella said, “Didn’t you ask her to keep an eye on me? You really are something. You even know how to start with the people around me.”
What kind of person was Jennifer to Stella?
She was basically her number one best friend.
And yet Felix had managed to persuade even her.
One had to know that before this, Jennifer had found fault with practically every man she saw.
Hearing this, the man on the phone let out a low laugh. “Once you and Evan no longer have that marria certificate tying you together, I won’t have her keep an eye on you anymore.”
Felix no longer bothered to hide his feelings for her.
His directness left Stella unsure of how to respond.
“I’ll pick you up for dinner tonight. Be good.”
When she remained silent, he coaxed her gently.
Stella was still a little slow to react because of Felix’s sudden bluntness. She had not even fully processed what he said and only responded with an instinctive “Mm.”
Felix chuckled. “Good girl.”
Then he hung up.
Jennifer had heard Felix’s straightforwardness clearly through the phone.
She set down her coffee cup. “At this point, you can only move forward. There’s no backing out now
Stella blinked. “Huh?”
“You and Felix are already this involved. Do you really think you can go back to Evan?”
“I never planned to go back to Evan!”
Go back?
Go back to what?
Things had already been torn apart this badly, and Jennifer was still talking about going back?
Did she not see what Stella had done to the entire Wright family?
Jennifer said, “From what I can see, Felix is determined to have you And this isn’t some sudden feeling.

It feels like something he’s planned for a long time. You two must have known each other a long time ago.”
Stella said nothing.
