Chapter 792
Aaron left.
Stella let out a quiet sigh.
The housekeeper had one of the staff prepare a plate of pasta the way they made them in Harbor City.
Stella took a bite.
They were delicious.
Comforting.
Honestly, food was probably the only thing she had adjusted to easily after coming back to Eirden.
Even when she was out training with Leah at noon, meals made by a Harbor City chef were sent over for
her.
As she ate, Gray came in from outside.
“Miss.”
“Look into why Felix is helping Summer.”
After thinking it over, Stella still felt that confronting Felix directly was not the right move.
She needed to find out what was really going on first.
Gray paused.
“You’re saying Mr. Hernandez is helping Summer?”
He was clearly surprised.
As far as Gray knew, Felix had always been on Stella’s side, especially when it came to the Wright family.
By all rights, he should never have helped Summer.
Yet Stella was asking Gray to find out why he had.
“Yes. Find out what’s behind it.”
Hopefully, the answer would not be something that disappointed her.
“Yes, Miss.”
Now that Stella had confirmed it, Gray’s expression turned serious.
Felix helping Summer was not good news.
Gray had not even started investigating yet, but as far as he was concerned, there was no acceptable reason for Felix to help her.

Stella finished her pasta and headed upstairs.
The moment she reached her room, Summer called.
Her tone was still provocative.
“You must be furious with me right now. You probably wish you could make me disappear.”
“If you know that, then shouldn’t you be more careful?”
“Didn’t you learn at the Wright estate that simply getting through each day can be harder than it looks?”
Summer went quiet.
At the Wright estate, she and the others had learned exactly how difficult life could become.
Back then, they had all wanted to keep living well.
To live with dignity.
Even if they could no longer have dignity, they had still wanted to survive.
None of them had wanted things to end that way.
“Careful?” Summer laughed bitterly. “Stella, you took everything from me. I have nothing left. I’ll keep fighting you for as long as I’m standing. As long as I’m alive, I’ll make you regret this someday.”
Thinking about everything she had lost lately…
Her child.
The Bailey family.
The Hollands.
Everything was gone.
Even when she had wanted to stay at the Wright estate, the home she had once shared with Steven, Stella had coldly refused her.
Summer was determined to make Stella regret that decision.
Stella gave a quiet laugh.
“Make me regret it?”
What a joke.
“I’ll go back to the Wright estate,” Summer said. “I’ll go back to the place where Steven and I lived.”
