Stella was determined to leave 

Aaron had no intention of letting her go, so he urgently called Michael. 

But Michael was still tied up with matters elsewhere and could not return. 

When he learned why Stella wanted to leave, he tore into Aaron over the phone. 

“Summer was nobody. If Stella wanted her gone, then so be it. Why did you have to interfere?” 

In Michael’s eyes, Aaron never should have sided with Felix over this. 

“Do you have any idea how much that must have hurt your sister? You know better than anyone what she went through in Harbor City. You should also know exactly what she wants.” 

“Yes, Father.” 

Aaron knew what Summer represented to Stella. 

But Summer had been connected to Evan. 

He had assumed Stella had already moved past all of that. 

He had not expected this. 

“If she leaves Eirden because of you, I won’t let you off.” 

Aaron fell silent. 

Michael ended the call. 

Aaron looked at Stella. 

“You heard him. Father doesn’t want you to leave. 

“If you go, he’ll hold me responsible. Understand?” 

His tone remained gentle. 

Who would have imagined that Aaron Hogarth, a man feared and respected by everyone around him, could still be scolded like child by his own father? 

“You saw Father tear into me,” Aaron said helplessly. “Shouldn’t that ease your anger a little?” 

Stella said nothing.

She did not respond, and the light in her eyes grew increasingly unreadable.

“Stella.” 

“I’m going to stay in Ravaria for a while. I need some space to think.”
