Chapter 892
“Be up early tomorrow,” Felix called after her. “Jack will come pick you up.”
“Give it up. I’m not going to the Black Sea.”
Anyone who knew anything about the Black Sea knew how dangerous it was.
And Felix actually wanted to take her there.
Before he could say anything else, Stella went upstairs.
Felix watched her leave, her cold attitude filling him with helpless frustration.
As he walked out of the Hogarth estate, he passed a man.
Seymour.
Felix found him vaguely familiar, though he could not remember where he had seen him before.
But he was certain the man did not work for the Hogarth family.
If he did, Felix would have recognized him immediately instead of merely finding him familiar.
He did not give it much thought and got into the car.
The moment Felix drove away, Seymour called Evan.
Evan answered quickly.
“Speak.”
“Mr. Hernandez intends to take Mrs. Wright to the Black Sea.”
“What?”
Evan’s voice rose sharply.
He sounded ready to explode.
“What the hell is he doing?”
“He came to see Mrs. Wright about Summer.”
“Did he accuse her?”
That would have been good.
An accusation would only drive Stella and Felix further apart, which was exactly what Evan wanted.
“No. They didn’t argue much about Summer. He mainly told her he was taking her to the Black Sea.”
Summer’s death had not caused much of a confrontation between them.
But Felix insisting on taking Stella to the Black Sea at a time like this was clearly suspicious.
“Understood,” Evan said. “Don’t let his people get anywhere near her.”
Damn Felix.

If he said he was taking Stella to the Black Sea, he was undoubtedly prepared to force the issue.
His men would probably try to take her tomorrow whether she agreed or not.
Fortunately, Evan had sent Seymour to her first.
Otherwise, Felix might have succeeded.
Ever since going to Eirden, Felix had caused one problem after another.
Just thinking about him filled Evan with anger.
“Understood.”
“Protect her. If anything happens to her, don’t expect to walk away alive.”
Every word carried a clear threat.
After ending the call, Evan immediately called Felix.
Felix had only just left the Hogarth estate.
The moment he got into the car, he lit a cigar.
He had known Stella would not listen to him now that she no longer trusted him.
Even so, the cold look she had given him still left an ache in his chest.
Then Evan’s call came in.
The moment Felix answered, Evan demanded, “Summer is dead, and now you want to take Stella to the Black Sea. What the hell are you planning?”
The name Summer came through clenched teeth.
Evan did not want Summer to continue affecting Stella’s life.
He had once broken Stella’s heart because of her.
Now he wanted Summer to disappear from Stella’s world completely.
Not merely because she was dead.
