Felix and Aaron waited for Stella to respond, with the technical team standing by beside them.
The moment she answered a call or replied to a message, they would be able to pinpoint her location.
But she answered none of their calls.
Every message went unanswered.
Left with no other choice, Aaron sent another one.
'I’ll agree to everything you want. You don’t have to marry Felix.'
She wanted respect.
She wanted the freedom to make her own decisions.
Now he had agreed to all of it. Surely that would make her feel better.
Aaron believed he had compromised enough that his difficult sister would finally respond.
But still, nothing came.
It was as though she had not even seen the message.
His patience began to wear thin.
“Stella has taken this rebellion too far.”
He had never met anyone who caused him this much trouble.
Then again, most people who dared trouble him to this extent had long since been removed from his life.
He never allowed such people to remain around him.
Felix glanced at him with a frown.
“What did you say to her?”
“I told her she doesn’t have to marry you.”
Felix’s expression darkened immediately.
“We’ll deal with that after we find her,” Aaron said. “Right now, we need to coax her back.”
Aaron knew exactly how difficult Amos’s people were to deal with.
Now that they had managed to get Stella out of the estate, taking her back by force would not be easy.
Their best chance was to work on Stella herself.
If they could persuade her to return willingly, that would solve everything.
Felix drew in a slow breath.
“Do you really think she can be persuaded?”
There was a trace of bitterness in his voice.
Had he and Evan completely switched places?
