Let’s Divorce Mrs. Wright Is Done Playing Nice novel Chapter 950

After all, Aaron had seen clearly enough how Evan felt about Stella.

And Stella had never been able to let go of what Summer had done.

Then Felix and Aaron had tried to use Summer in their negotiations with General Litt, which had only made Stella angrier.

Under those circumstances, Evan truly might have had Summer killed.

“You believe him?” Felix asked.

“Don’t you?” Aaron countered. “If Summer had been useless to you, would you have cared what happened to her?”

Felix fell silent.

If Summer had held no value for them, they would never have interfered.

They would have let Stella deal with her however she pleased.

So Evan really had…

“Summer was different for Evan.”

“She was only different because of Steven,” Aaron said. “And only as long as the child she was carrying belonged to the Wright family.”

If the child had truly been Steven’s, then Summer’s position would have been different.

No matter how repulsive she became or how cruelly she treated Stella, Evan would never have wanted her dead.

But once the truth came out, everything changed.

“Then why didn’t he do it back in Harbor City?”

“Because no one was stopping Stella in Harbor City,” Aaron cut in.

Felix had been about to ask why Evan had not simply killed Summer earlier if he truly wanted her gone.

But back then, Stella had already kept Summer completely under control.

There had been no reason for Evan to intervene.

This time was different.

Felix felt a tightness spread through his chest.

Aaron looked at him.

“What? Did you question Stella about it?”

“I didn’t question her.”

“You just didn’t believe her?”

Felix fell silent again.

Aaron was right.

He had not accused her outright.

He had simply refused to believe her.

Stella had told him Summer’s death had nothing to do with her.

But Felix had not trusted her.

…

Felix did not remember how he left the Hogarth estate.

Outside, he lit a cigarette and took two hard drags.

The frustration in his chest refused to ease.

He pulled out his phone and called Stella.

He expected her to ignore him as usual.

But this time, she answered.

There was only silence on the other end.

Felix took another deep drag from his cigarette.

“You’re willing to go this far for Evan?”

“I told you to stop looking for me.”

Every word Stella spoke was cold.

After their last call, Felix and Aaron had ignored her warning completely.

They had continued searching for her.

Worse, they were still threatening Amos and trying to force him to hand her over.
