Let’s Divorce Mrs. Wright Is Done Playing Nice novel Chapter 965

The tension between them over the phone had reached a breaking point.

Leon kept demanding to know where Monique was.

Jennifer had only one condition.

Let her leave.

In exchange, she would tell him where Monique had been taken.

Leon exploded at her over the phone before hanging up.

Twenty minutes later, he arrived.

Jennifer had been sitting in the same spot when he left.

When he returned, she had not moved.

Leon’s expression was dark.

This was the angriest Jennifer had ever seen him.

His hands were clenched into fists.

“Where is Monique?”

Each word came through gritted teeth.

“I only have one condition.”

“Don’t even think about it. I already told you, Monique and I aren’t what you think. Whatever exists between us will be over in six months at most.”

Six months.

Jennifer looked at him with a faint smile.

“So you expect me to put up with this for six months?”

“You…”

“This has only just started, and the entire city is already tearing me apart. I’m being dragged through the mud everywhere I look, and you still expect me to wait six months for you? Who do you think you are?”

Six months?

Did he have any idea how long that was?

This had barely begun, yet the Redson family was already doing everything possible to drive her away.

No.

More accurately, Monique was probably behind all of it.

But whoever had done it, they were already trying to destroy Jennifer before the marriage had even happened.

Leon clearly knew who was responsible.

And he still expected Jennifer to wait.

“Even if I only wanted something casual, I never should’ve chosen someone like you.”

Leon froze.

“What did you say?”

Casual?

The word rang through his head.

He stared at Jennifer in disbelief.

“You heard me. This was only ever casual to me. That was what I wanted from the beginning, and you knew that.”

Since Jennifer refused to listen, he did not continue.

If Jennifer had been acting alone, Leon would not have believed she could truly do anything to Monique.

But Stella was behind her.

That changed everything.

Leon had seen how viciously Stella had gone after Summer.

And now Summer was dead.

Word from Seaborne claimed Evan had been responsible.

Leon did not believe it.

He could believe Evan had taken the blame for Stella.

But he did not believe Evan had actually ordered Summer’s death himself.

And now Evan was dead too.

Leon had been stunned when he heard the news.

At the same time, Stella’s image in his mind had changed completely.

He now saw her as a ruthless woman capable of destroying anyone who crossed her.

She and Evan had once loved each other.

Yet their relationship had still ended this way.

With Jennifer now following Stella’s lead, Leon was afraid Stella would turn her into the same kind of person.
