Let’s Divorce Mrs. Wright Is Done Playing Nice novel Chapter 996

Excuses.

Every word was nothing but an excuse.

They always claimed they were acting for her sake, but in reality, those claims were merely a cover for whatever hidden agenda they had.

Whether it was Felix or Aaron, Stella no longer believed a single word they said.

“You don’t believe me? The situation in Seaborne…”

“Felix.”

Stella cut him off coldly before he could finish.

“As far as I’m concerned, you and Aaron are the greatest threats to me.”

As for the mysterious force in Seaborne, even if it truly existed, Stella had never sensed any hostility from it.

Felix and Aaron were different.

Ever since she returned to Eirden, they had brought her nothing but trouble.

Felix fell silent.

Her words left a heavy pressure in his chest.

For a moment, he no longer knew what to say to her.

She had completely lost all trust in them.

Stella ended the call.

Felix listened to the disconnected tone, his eyes darkening.

It felt as though a large part of his chest had suddenly been hollowed out.

“Sir, should we send people to find Miss Rowan and bring her back?” Jack asked.

“Find her?” Felix gave a bitter laugh. “Do you think it’s that easy?”

Finding Stella was anything but simple.

Felix had once believed that with Evan gone, the greatest obstacle between them had disappeared.

Now he realized how wrong he had been.

Evan was dead.

But the people loyal to him had not abandoned Stella just because he was gone.

Neither Felix nor Aaron had expected Amos to risk everything for her.

Nor had they expected Stella to have so many strategies of her own.

Amos had not taken down Litt by himself.

Aaron returned to Eirden as quickly as possible.

He had failed to find what he wanted among Litt’s possessions, and rage radiated from every inch of him.

He had spent years trying to obtain it.

Litt had finally begun to show signs of giving in, only for everything to be cut short.

It had already been difficult enough to get the old man to hand it over while he was alive.

Now that Litt was dead, finding it would be even harder.

Back at the Hogarth estate, Aaron had torn his study apart.

The room was left in complete chaos.

Gray and Leah stood to one side, barely daring to breathe.

No one knew how long it took before Aaron finally calmed down.

He lit a cigar.

“Go find her and bring her back,” he ordered. “I don’t care what it takes.”

At that moment, Aaron wanted nothing more than to teach Stella a harsh lesson.

She might be his biological sister, but her defiance had pushed him beyond the limits of his patience.
