The Thunderlaw and Heptagold energies surrounding those two tree trunks grew denser with each passing moment. Just as Severin prepared to explore the newfound powers of his inner world, a towering presence materialized beside him. He looked up and saw none other than Lawrence emerging from a rift in the void. "Hahaha, who'd have thought that you'd become my just two months after I last met you," Lawrence boomed with hearty laughter, as if they were old comrades reunited after years apart.
Severin harbored no fondness for Lawrence, who had caused him no small amount of trouble when dealing with Gyddur. In response to Lawrence's congratulations, Severin merely nodded and replied, "I was fortunate to have made this breakthrough."
"Luck alone isn't enough. Only those blessed with great fortune and unwavering perseverance may ascend to royal celestial status," Lawrence countered, shaking his head.
"Indeed," another voice chimed in crisply. Callide emerged from the void, her phoenix eyes looking at Severin from head to toe. "You now stand among us as a royal celestial—a member of our esteemed generation. When the realm convergence finally takes place, you shall have the privilege of potentially becoming a celestial regent."
Severin lowered his head humbly and said, "You flatter me. I've barely managed to make a breakthrough to royal celestial, and I still have much to learn. I have yet to reach a level where I could compete with becoming a royal immortal."
Severin's ascension to the royal celestial was not without doubts and questions. He was still unclear on how best to proceed, as the Green Emperor's remnant soul within the Green Emperor's Pagoda had not mentioned anything about it.
While he was undoubtedly tempted by Callide's proposal to vie for the status of quasi-immortal emperor, Severin was mindful of his own limitations and Lawrence's private agenda.
As expected, Lawrence was rather pleased to hear that and immediately said, "Doubt not yourself, Severin. Who can truly discern the whims of fate?"
Soon, Creatia, Balke, and Libra came forth and offered their congratulations. Balke extended an invitation to Benlagh Island, but Severin politely declined as he was eager to return to the Bleu Region and solidify his newfound status.
After bidding farewell to his peers, Severin's primal spirit returned to his body and Severin's physical form in the Celestial Ablution Pond opened his eyes suddenly. The laws of space and time surged around him, and he disappeared into the air the next moment. Within seconds, he had arrived several million miles away in the Longevity Alliance.
Though Diane and the other girls had already learned of Severin's ascension to royal celestial status through the will of heaven, his confirmation brought them a fresh wave of joy.
They were extremely happy for Severin, as he had achieved the pinnacle of power—after all, a royal celestial was a towering figure among the giants.
Only five such individuals existed in the vast expanse of the Celestial Realm, and Severin was the sixth.
Severin glanced at their expressions and offered them a comforting smile before retreating to the training room to further consolidate his newfound status. Even in that moment of great joy, Severin reminded them of the challenges ahead. With the impending realm convergence drawing near, it was of paramount importance for them to train diligently.
