Gu Sheng shifted around, feeling uncomfortable from the pressure of the Stone.
He raised his hand to throw the Stone away, but when he pinched it between his fingers, it didn’t budge.
Realizing something was wrong, Gu Sheng applied more force. With the strength he used, even a stone weighing over ten pounds should have moved, but this little thing remained immovable.
Sitting up straight, Gu Sheng examined the Stone carefully. It wasn’t one with the giant rock; logically, it should have been picked up, yet it was behaving so strangely. This was clearly not ordinary!
Realizing the peculiarity, he continued to fiddle with the small Stone.
Noticing his movements, Lan Yao asked without opening her eyes, "Gu Sheng, what are you busy with again? The sky’s almost light, take a rest."
"Alright, you rest first."
Gu Sheng replied casually, his hands still busy.
As he repeatedly applied divine and spiritual power, a twist of his fingertip finally made the small Stone turn!
Instantly, Gu Sheng was overjoyed.
It was then he realized the Stone could actually rotate!
He spun the Stone again, and faint sounds reached his ears.
Eyes brightening, Gu Sheng quickly roused everyone.
"Get up, quick!"
Startled by his urgency, everyone leapt to their feet.
"What’s wrong? What happened?"
"Move aside, all of you, go over there quickly! Once you’re there, don’t anyone come back!"
Gu Sheng spoke hurriedly, and though the others were puzzled, they instinctively followed his instructions.
Once everyone had moved to the side, Gu Sheng returned to twisting the small Stone.
Sure enough, as it turned in circles, a rumbling sound came from the giant rock behind him.
Upon hearing the noise, Shi Lou couldn’t help but shout, "Brother Sheng, be careful!"
"No need to worry about me, I know what I’m doing."
Gu Sheng replied, eyes fixed unblinking on the giant rock, his hands never ceasing.
After who knows how many turns, Gu Sheng began to feel resistance from beneath his hands, the Stone’s rotation becoming increasingly labored.
With determination, he gave it a forceful twist to the base.
At that moment, the giant rock behind him rumbled again, even causing some debris to fall, plummeting straight towards him!
As Lan Yao and others watched in horror, Gu Sheng quickly summoned the small tripod, which securely shielded him from the falling stones.
After countless pieces of debris had fallen, the giant rock finally moved!
It actually started to shift like a door, slowly sliding to the right!
Seeing this scene, Gu Sheng was ecstatic.
"See, I told you there was something fishy behind this Stone!"
Looking at the path behind the giant rock, everyone nodded dumbfounded.
"Gu Sheng, you’re amazing to have guessed this."
After Lan Yao spoke, Shi Lou shot him a look.
"Brother Sheng sensed it with skill, how is that guessing?"
"Yes, yes, your Brother Sheng is the most skilled, and trusting him unconditionally was the smartest thing I ever did, or I’d be walking a hundred crooked paths."
The two bickered as they stepped into the giant rock.
Lan Yao leaned over at the doorway, rubbing the goosebumps on her arm.
"Gu Sheng, it’s pitch black in there, could there be any wild beasts?"
"There can’t be wild beasts in the Stone; if there are, they’re Demon Beasts."
When Er Gou spoke up, everyone took a step back.
Seeing this, Gu Sheng felt exasperated and amused, his gaze landing directly on Hong Mei.
"Hong Mei, come feel around, see if you can sense the presence of Wushuang Taoist."
Hearing Gu Sheng, the others made way for Hong Mei.
Standing at the giant rock’s entrance, Hong Mei unleashed divine power again, slowly probing into the cave.
Everyone stared at her unblinkingly, but she kept her eyes shut for a long time.
