"Don’t be nervous, if I wanted to harm you, I would have done it earlier. You have the aura of the Immortal Seed, only such blood can activate the teleportation array."
He pointed to the cliff.
"It’s indeed dangerous below, but there’s a way out above."
Gu Sheng was skeptical but thought he had no other options and nodded, gritting his teeth.
He operated his mental method, forcing a drop of crimson Blood Pearl from his fingertip. Strangely, a glimmer of golden light flowed at the center of the Blood Pearl.
"What pure Immortal Seed aura!"
Ling Xiao carefully took the Blood Pearl and began to chant an obscure ancient spell.
As the spell echoed, Gu Sheng was surprised to see Ling Xiao’s demeanor undergo a drastic change.
The previously playful monk now looked dignified, a faint golden Buddha Light emanating from his body.
Yet within this sacred aura, there was a faintly eerie air that made one’s heart pound.
"This is..."
Gu Sheng instinctively took two steps back.
Suddenly, a black pattern appeared on Ling Xiao’s forehead, writhing, with countless menacing shadow demons vaguely visible within, struggling and roaring.
He abruptly opened his eyes, and two beams of interlocking black and red light shot out from them, piercing through the space before him!
"Crack—"
The void shattered, revealing two swirling black holes, deep and unpredictable.
"Quick! Jump into the one on the left!"
Ling Xiao shouted as he leaped into the right-side black hole, his figure instantly swallowed.
Gu Sheng looked at the constantly twisting black hole, his throat dry.
But remembering the danger of staying in this strange world, he closed his eyes and jumped in.
As soon as he entered, Gu Sheng felt the world spinning.
Surrounded by endless darkness, even his Divine Sense couldn’t extend, with only the howling wind and explosions in his ears.
His body was torn by an invisible force, his organs shifting places.
"What the hell is this place!"
Gu Sheng roared in anger, but not a sound came out.
He didn’t know how much time passed, and just as he was about to lose his grip, a faint light appeared ahead.
The light grew brighter, forming a massive crack tearing across the void.
"Boom!"
Gu Sheng was hurled out of the crack by a tremendous force, slamming heavily onto a soft grass field.
He greedily breathed the air, the familiar fluctuations of spiritual energy almost bringing tears to his eyes.
It was Xinghong Spirit Domain! He was really back!
Not far away, Ling Xiao was rolling on the grass.
"Hahaha! Buddha I’m back!"
Gu Sheng quietly got up, cautiously observing this mysterious monk.
Today’s events were too strange; he decided to leave quickly while the other was unguarded.
"Master, take care, I shall take my leave."
Gu Sheng cupped his hands in salute and turned to leave.
"Hey!"
Ling Xiao suddenly called out to him, a meaningful smile on his face.
"Leaving just like that? Aren’t you going to thank Buddha for bringing you back?"
Gu Sheng stopped in his tracks, forcing a smile.
"Thank you, Master, for your help, I shall repay you generously one day."
Ling Xiao waved his hand.
"Forget it, just go. However..."
"I have a feeling we’ll meet again soon."
