The jealousy coming off of Lottie would have been cute if it was completely unfounded but ! could understand it. The woman walking towards us was beautiful. And you would have to be blind not to notice but she wasn’t Lottie kind of beautiful.
No one was.

To me Lottie was and would always be the most stunning woman in the universe and I hated the fart she was doubting that
I reached for her, drawing her back into the safety of my arms and turned her face towards me. My fingers slid across the softness of her cheeks “You’re the
only one-”
“This is Daisy.”
Dropping a kiss to Lottie’s lips I turned to face the newcomer. She was beautiful but there was something familiar about the cat like shape of her eyes it took me less that five seconds to understand why they looked so familiar.
She had her brother’s eyes.
I risked a quick glance at Lottie. Would she see the resemblance as well? So far it didn’t look like she did. Her smile was a little uncertain but welcoming. Lottie would not be smiling if she realised who the little blonde was related to.
Personally it was taking all of my inner strength not to drag Lottie away. I knew that we needed help getting to Josh. He had a whole club protecting him and that club was bigger and more feared than we were but I didn’t want my woman anywhere near that family.
Not now and not ever. She had suffered enough at their hands already.
Introductions were done. And Daisy’s care free smile stayed in place right until she met Lottie’s eyes.
“It’s nice to meet you finally.” She said softly. “I heard a lot about you.”
At my side Lottie bristled. “You have?” Wildly she looked at me and I shook my head. If she thought Daisy was some kind of ex then she was mistaj

“How?”
Daisy shrugged. “Well from Raven and of course I had heard of you in school.”
Lottie frowned. “We went to school together? I’m sorry but I don’t remember”
Daisy cut her off “Oh I don’t expect you to I was years younger than you but we all wanted to be with you Popular, beautiful, all the girls wanted to be vinu and all the boys” she giggled “Well you get it Nothing seems to have changed” Her eyes swept between me and Xander “Much better chances that on
brother”
“Shut up.” I snapped before I could help myself. Lottie hadn’t realised who she was yet and she didn’t deserve to find out in the open like this
“Your brother?” Lottie whispered. Her eyes narrowed into shits as she stared at the younger woman And I knew the second she joined the lots. The breath left her lungs in a whoosh. The blood drained from her face. “You’re Josh’s sister

Chapter 52-
The way she said his name: Like saying it out loud threatened to bring all her nightmares back to life was enough for me to tighten my arms around her
I wanted her to know that I would protect her I’d failed to do that once I was never going to fail her again.
“You didn’t know?” Daisy shot a look at Raven. “You didn’t tell her I was coming?”
“She didn’t need to know.”
I wanted to disagree with him about that but it wasn’t like I had told her either. Xander had told me the plan but I hadn’t told Lottie. So that made me to blame just as much as anyone else.
“I am not my brother.” Daisy said quietly. Her voice meant for no one’s ears but Lottie’s. “I hate my family. I always have done. My brother is a monster and deserves to pay for what he did to you and others and that’s why I am here.” She reached for Lottie, who stepped away and that hand fell to her side with
sigh.
“Don’t touch me.” Lottie snapped.
Daisy faltered under our combined stares. “I guess I deserve that. But I am trying to help you and the other girls get justice.”
Other girls. I felt suddenly sick. I’d suspected there might have been others. But to hear it said out loud was enough for me to want to go back in time and kill him with my own hands.
“Let’s go inside.” Raven’s giant hand took Daisy’s elbow but she didn’t let herself get led away. Instead she planted her feet and stared at Lottie straight in
the face.
“I know you don’t have any reason to trust me; and I wouldn’t if our roles were reversed but I am on your side. I have just as much reason to hate losh and my other brothers as you do.” Something flickered into her eyes. Not a light. A darkness. For several seconds the life seemed to seep out of her face and ! knew Lottie saw it as well.
She saw it and realised what it meant.
