“No way.” Wildly I looked through the front seats to the view in front of us. Sure it was dark and it was hard to see but this could only be one thing.

In the passenger side Killian stiffened, “Don’t read too much into it Lottie.” He snapped almost angrily as he swung open the truck door and stepped out. “I was my dream to remember.”

I did remember. Of course I did but the fact he hadn’t just remembered but made it reality twisted something inside of me.

Tears stung my eyes and fell silently down my cheeks.

“I see.” Killing the engine, he swung his giant frame out of the cab of the truck/ “Another Killian and Lottie inside joke.” Slamming the truck door he headed towards the cabin.

I shot a look at Killian who shrugged. But his face was troubled. Something was wrong with Xander. Something I thought we had ironed out.

“He’s under a lot of stress.” Killian followed his lover out, but instead of heading towards the cabin he opened my door and helped me down.

His hand was warm and firm in mine. Comforting.

One small tug and I was tucked under his arm. Which was even more comforting. I liked how sinall he made me-

Twisting in Xander’s arm I found Killian leaning against the wall and watching us. His muscled arms crossed around his chest.
