Agnes cut her off. “Bring him out. Otherwise, we’re done here”

Rebecca stared at her for a moment, then smiled faintly and pulled on a device from behind her.

“If you want to see him, take off everything you’re carrying

Agnes paused for a second, then looked at the device in Rebecca’s hand and smiled slightly.

Rebecca really had gotten smarter.

With no other choice, Agnes removed all the hidden devices from her and tossed them onto the ground.

After scanning her with the device, Rebecca slowly clapped her hands behind her.

From the darkness, a man in a wheelchair was pushed forward by a woman.

Agnes saw clearly that the man slumped in the chair, barely conscious, was indeed Calvin.

And, the one pushing him was Monica.

In that instant, Agnes understood everything.

There was no way Rebecca and Calvin would ever cross paths on their own.

So Rebecca and Monica had teamed up.

Monica curled her red lips into a mocking smile.

“I thought you wouldn’t show up.

“Looks like my dear dad didn’t waste his money on you after all. At least you’ve got some conscience”

Agnes said, “Monica, are you even human? No matter what, he raised you.

“The Hales never treated you badly.

She pointed at Calvin in the wheelchair, her voice filled with hatred.

“The Hale fortune was always mine. Raymond was supposed to be mine too!

“I hate you! I’m going to kill you. I’ll kill him too!”

As she spoke, Monica suddenly kicked the wheelchair hard.

The chair, along with Calvin, rolled far across the rooftop, sliding all the way to the edge.

The edge of the rooftop had no railing at all, making it extremely dangerous.

Calvin’s eyes stayed shut, completely unresponsive.

“Stop!”

Agnes shouted as she rushed forward to grab him, but Rebecca stepped in front of her and blocked the way.
