"She doesn't have many friends, and I've probably been annoying her lately."

He paused, then added more seriously, "You and Frank are the only ones I trust with this. I'm counting on you.

"If you ever need anything, just ask."

"Alright, I'll remember that," Carmen said. "I'm heading to the store now.

"But honestly, I really like your wife.

"Who knows? Maybe one day, I'll steal her from you."

She hung up before he could respond, leaving Raymond staring at his phone.

Agnes stepped into Carmen's boutique. It was completely different from Tidewhisper Lily.

The moment Agnes walked in, several staff members greeted her with bright smiles.
