Raymond answered, Can’t I take you out to eat? Didn’t you say I never take you out or bring you to events? From today on, I’ll pay more attention.

Before, Agnes would have been so touched by what Raymond did that she might have cried happy tears.

But now, things were different. After what happened with the child, she was no longer the same Agnes who would quietly accept everything.

She couldn’t even remember the last time Raymond brought her to a restaurant. It felt like it was back when they had just gotten married.

Agnes found it ridiculous and was about to speak when she noticed someone by the stairs.

That person was acting strange, not coming upstairs, but hiding there and secretly listening.

Agnès gave a small, mocking smile. She already knew who it was.

She bit back what she was going to say. Then, in a slightly sweet voice, she said, Well, aren’t you afraid Hillary will get mad?

Why bring up Hillary?Raymond asked.

He looked at Agnes with confusion. Just now, she had been so cold, but now she seemed like a different

person.

Agnes said, You usually take her everywhere you go. If you suddenly don’t bring her, won’t she be upset?

Raymond replied, She has her own life. I can’t always bring her with me. I thought about it a lot last night. There were many things I didn’t handle well before. I ignored you. I’ll pay more attention from now on.

Agnes said, But Hillaryshe still seems to like you. She even came back from overseas just for you. If you say that, she’ll be hurt.

Raymond responded, Her coming back was her own choice. It has nothing to do with anyone else.

Agnes continued, RaymondI don’t want to come between you two. I know Hillary still loves you. I’m willing to let you be together.

Let’s get a divorce.

Raymond said angrily, Agnes, listen carefully! I don’t agree to a divorce. Even without you, Hillary and I would never be together.”

Agnes tried hard to hold back the smile curving on her lips. She was really afraid she might laugh out loud.

Because she saw the figure by the stairs shaking hard.

The next second, that person walked out of the stairs.

Raymond looked at the suddenly appearing Hillary, and a hint of surprise flashed in his eyes.

He had clearly told the restaurant today that he had booked the whole place, and no one was allowed to come in.

So why was she here?

Hillary, who had been sent away by Raymond last night, was already upset. She was mad that Agnes had moved back into the house again.

Today, she also found out that Raymond brought Agnes to a restaurant to eat.

The jealousy in her heart burned fiercely. She was upset, and she wanted to ruin their date.

So she came to this restaurant too, pretending it was a coincidence.

Just now, she had heard the conversation between Agnes and Raymond on the stairs, and her heart felt completely broken.

But soon, she pulled herself together and appeared in front of them with an elegant posture.

Raymond, Agnes, what a coincidence! You’re eating here? I was just passing by, so I came in to eat too.”

Agnes smiled. Yeah, what a coincidence, Hillary.

Before, when facing this kind of awkward situation, Agnes would quietly leave. She didn’t want to fool herself, even if it made her look foolish.

But today, she was going to face this annoying Hillary headon.

Agnes, do you mind if I join you? I’m alone, and I feel a little lonely.

Hillary spoke to Agnes in a pitiful tone.

If I say I mind, will you not join us, Hillary?

Agnes teased her on purpose. Hillary’s face turned a little pale, but her eyes kept looking at Raymond, asking him for help.

Raymond surprisingly didn’t say a single word. He looked at Agnes, as if waiting for her to decide.

Hillary felt like her heart was torn into thousands of pieces. Raymond wasn’t like this before.

She stood there awkwardly by the table, like a lonely weed shaking in the wind.

Just kidding, Hillary! How could I mind? Come sit down.

Agnes suddenly changed her tone and warmly invited Hillary to sit next to her.

Then she stood up and said, Sorry, Hillary, take your time. I’m going to the restroom.”
