“I’m telling you! Today was just a small warning. If you dare cross my line again, I’ll make your end up worse than today!”

After saying that, Agnes turned and walked away.

Hillary sat on the toilet, her face pale and stiff. When did Agnes become so sneaky and sharp?

She always thought that after she came back to the country, winning Raymond back would be easy. Agnes was nothing but a weak, useless girl.

It seemed she had really underestimated Agnes.

Agnes went back to the restaurant and said to Raymond, “I gave her the clothes. She’s fine. Looks like you two will go back together later, so I won’t disturb you. I’ll leave first.”

Raymond said, “I called a driver. He’s waiting for you downstairs.”

Agnes looked at him. This jerk even sent someone to watch me?

Raymond seemed to see what Agnes was thinking.

“You don’t have to look at me like that. No matter where you go, I can find you. We’re still married. You have a duty to stay by my side.”

What a jerk! Seriously, the worst! Agnes rolled her eyes. Today really made her sick, but at least she got a little revenge.

After she got back, she closed her door and made a phone call.

“Rebecca, help me sign up that lily embroidered classical–style dress for the WOW Fashion Design Competition.”

‘Got it! Leave it to me! When you step in, you always bring home the win!” Rebecca replied.

At the restaurant today, when Hillary said her brand was joining the yearly WOW Fashion Design Competition in Grandridge, it reminded Agnes of something.

All these years, she had been quietly practicing the embroidery skills her mother taught her. She used to be lazy about it before.

After her mother, Daisy, passed away, with all the love and memories she still held, she started to practice again–stitch by stitch, relying only on memory.

Day after day, she slowly learned the key skills. Little by little, her embroidery became almost exactly the same as Daisy’s.

She didn’t just inherit Daisy’s unique embroidery style, she also added many new ideas to it.

Over the years, she created her own fashion brand called “Tidewhisper Lily.”

Using her studio and the name “Aurora“, she joined many competitions. In a short time, she became well-

But no one had ever sees her. Every time, it was her assistant Rebecca who went in her place and accepted the awards.

This time, joining the competition wasn’t just about competing with Hillary.

This time, she used Daisy’s embroidery style and specially embroidered lilies onto it.

Back then, after Daisy sold an embroidery piece called Luminous Lily, she died in a strange car accident.

Back then, she tried to find the buyer, but she was too young and couldn’t find any clues.

Also, after Daisy passed away, she never received the payment. So in her second year of college, she had no choice but to drop out.

Before Daisy passed away, she told Agnes to find Raymond’s mother to stay safe. She knew Daisy must have run into some kind of trouble and was worried about her future safety.

The Newtons were powerful. As long as she stayed with them, no one would dare hurt her.

But this time, Agnes had made up her mind to divorce Raymond and leave the Newtons.

This was something that had troubled her for a long time–for herself, and for her mother.

She wanted to use this competition and Daisy’s unique embroidery style to see if she could draw out the person who bought the embroidery back then.

Running away wouldn’t solve anything. Only by fixing the real problem could she truly get rid of her

worries.

Agnes was just about to hang up the phone when Rebecca on the other side continued, “Oh right, Agnes, about those dried herbs you asked me to check last time, I got the result. It’s motherwort.”

“Motherwort?”

“Yes, motherwort helps blood flow and can regulate periods. Girls usually take it if their periods are irregular or painful.

“But if a pregnant woman takes it for a long time, it can cause a miscarriage.”

Agnes had almost forgotten about this. When she had her miscarriage, she found some dried herbs in Linda’s room.

Linda had been in charge of all her meals. The doctor said that her fall alone wasn’t enough to cause a miscarriage and heavy bleeding.

So it was her!

After hanging up the phone, Agnes stood there in shock for a long time.

When she thought about the baby, a deep hatred flashed in her eyes. Endless rage burned inside her.
