Agnes hesitated for a moment. Something didn’t feel right. The person who sent the note knew Judy had died from a sudden heart attack. That meant they had to be someone close. But who? And why come to her instead of going to Raymond

With all these questions in her mind, she still went. She brought the note and headed alone to the school cafeteria.

It was early evening. Classes had just ended, and students were leaving campus one after another.

The cafeteria was quiet, even though the lights were still on. Not a single person was inside.

Agnes paused at the door. Something felt off. She turned to leave “Agnes.”

Someone called her name from behind. She turned around and saw a figure standing deeper inside the cafeteria, waving at her.

The person stood against the light. All she could see was a dark shape. She couldn’t make out the face.

She walked toward them. Just as she got close, the person suddenly turned and went into a room nearby.

Curiosity pulled her forward. A strange uneasiness crept into her chest, but she couldn’t stop. She needed to know what really happened to Judy.

Growing up, Judy had treated her like her daughter. She had always been kind and caring.

Judy’s death had crushed her. The hospital said it was a sudden heart attack that led to organ failure.

But Judy had always been healthy. It happened not long after Agnes found the Newton family and married Raymond.

Back in the estate, Jillian, Ursa, Duncan, and even some of the household staff had whispered behind her back. They said Agnes had brought bad luck, that she caused Judy’s death.

If it weren’t for Sabrina, she would have been kicked out long ago.

Now, after all this time, this strange note appeared out of nowhere. Agnes couldn’t ignore it.

She followed the figure into the side room. The room was completely white. It looked like a sealed storage

space.

Agnes stepped in carefully and called out, “Hello? Who are you? Where did you go?”

She frowned. The person had just been there. Now the room was empty.

She thought she had imagined it. She turned to leave, but someone shoved her hard from behind.

Agnes stumbled forward and fell to her knees, hitting the ground with a heavy thud. Bang!

Her heart jumped. Then she heard machines starting up. Rumble… rumble… rumble…

From nowhere, thick white gas began pouring into the room. Agnes shivered hard. A chill shot through her body.

Her eyes flew wide open as she stared at everything happening around her. Fear rushed through her.

Cold white gas kept pouring in. The small room grew colder rapidly. Frost began to form along the walls. Agnes scrambled to her feet and ran for the door.

She grabbed the handle and pulled with all her strength.

Nothing. She kept yanking it again and again. The door wouldn’t budge. It was locked tight.

Agnes rushed back into the room and searched every corner, looking for another way out.

She found nothing. Instead, she saw unopened boxes of king crab, scallops, and neatly packed cuts of meat. It hit her all at once. This… this had to be the restaurant’s freezer.

Oh no! Someone had tricked her into coming here, pushed her inside, and locked the door.

They were trying to kill her.

But who? Who knew how Judy died and now wanted her dead too?

There was no time to think. Agnes quickly pulled out her phone and tried to call for help.

No signal. Not even one bar. She tried again and again, but no call would go through.

The temperature.kept dropping. Her body started to shake from the cold. She knew she couldn’t last long

like this.

She grabbed a king crab and used its hard legs to pound on the door, over and over, hoping someone outside would hear.

But no one came. No sound. No response.

The room was small. No windows. No signal.

She used everything she could find, trying anything that might help. Time passed, second by second. The cold kept getting worse.

Agnes felt despair creep in. Her body grew stiff. Her mind started to blur.

I’m done… No one knows I’m here. I’m going to die here today.

Outside, at the school gate, the matte black luxury car was still there. Raymond was waiting for Agnes to finish class.
