It has been two weeks since I told Daniel we were going to have another Pup and I can no longer hide my increased appetite. When Daniel and Gabe finally figured out I was the reason they had to refill their plate more often they had just looked at me and both had shaken their heads.

Brent on the other hand thought it was hilarious and so did our Pups, but it showed us we had to tell everyone there would be an addition to the Royal family. The announcement was made four days ago at dinner in the main dining room.

Chloe or someone else from my protection detail has been on my tail ever since and my protection detail made it clear I was not allowed to go anywhere without them. Chloe had to explain to me and Daniel that some of the females around the Palace had given me murderous looks after the announcement.

So far no one has made any remarks, but Chloe is afraid it might get worse the moment I start showing. A roar from Daniel’s office makes me jump out of my seat and I quickly glance at Chloe, she nods her head for me to proceed towards his office.

Hunter and Daniel are in a staring contest and I already know who is going to win. No, not our King. My Daughter will win as she is very intimidating when she is standing like that and I ask Brent why they are at odds with each other.

Hunter doesn’t break eye–contact as she says, “He doesn’t want you to know how serious the situation is getting.” I look from my Daughter to my Mate and Daniel tells her that stress is not good for me in my condition, before I can blink my eyes Hunter has punched Daniel in the face.

He staggers back as he looks at her in shock, “Hunter Madison, have lost your mind.” He growls at her as Jayce is trying to calm Hunter down, but she shoves him to the side and as she slowly stands up straight I see a look in her eyes that doesn’t predict much good.

“You don’t tell Mom about something that involves her and her unborn Pup, because of her delicate situation.” Hunter says and her voice is laced with suppressed anger. Daniel slowly nods his head at her statement and I want to kick my Mate’s ass for his thoughtlessness.

“But you don’t have a problem with adding that stress onto me, Dad?” She asks before she storms out of his office, slamming the door closed behind her and I step in front of the door to keep anyone from leaving. I link Emma and Ella to go and find her.

Daniel is staring at the door, but the look in his eyes tells me that he isn’t seeing anything and slowly the reality sinks in. He slumps down in his chair as tears start to form in his eyes, “I screwed up, didn’t I?” he asks no one in particular.

Everyone else in the room has the same look on their face and I get this feeling that no one thought of Hunter’s pregnancy when they decided to include her into this conversation. But Hunter is right, this concerns me and they had no right to keep it from me.

“Don’t expect to see me or Hunter for the rest of the day and prepare yourselves for a sleepless night as we might not return at all today.” I say before I walk out of Daniel’s office and go in search of my Daughter.
