"Why are you following me?" Di Jinxuan’s face turned red as she tried to close the door.
Nangong Jin caught the door with a hand just in time, placing it in the crack as he said with a smile brimming with mischief, "I came to see my wife. What’s the matter, are you shy?"
The mention of it only made Di Jinxuan’s face burn even redder, and she couldn’t help but recall previous scenes in her mind, feeling rather uncomfortable. So she said, "No, I’m not."
As she continued to try and shut the door forcefully, Nangong Jin howled, "Wife, my hand, my hand, ahh, it’s caught, it hurts so much."
Hearing his wailing and seeing that his hand indeed appeared to be caught in the door jamb, Di Jinxuan ultimately couldn’t bring herself to continue, and had to give up on closing the door.
Nangong Jin took the opportunity to slip inside, covering his hand, with a face full of aggrieved innocence, "Wife, it really hurts."
His expression seemed genuine, and Di Jinxuan’s heart skipped a beat. She bit her lip, eyeing him warily and finally asked, "Is it really caught?"
"Of course, look it’s all red." Nangong Jin held his hand out to her.
Just as Di Jinxuan was about to take a serious look, he quickly grabbed her hand, pulling her into his embrace and said with a mischievous grin, "Silly, I’m not so easily hurt."
"You..." Di Jinxuan’s face flushed.
Nangong Jin looked at her, as if moved, and couldn’t help but say, "Wife, you’re really great. You actually care a lot about your husband, don’t you?"
For some reason, a surge of excitement and emotion welled up inside him; he thought he might truly be very fond of her now.
Fond of every one of her expressions.
"You lied to me again!" Di Jinxuan pounded his chest, seemingly angry, "Let go, you promised you’d never lie to me."
"I..." Nangong Jin wrapped his arms around her struggling form and finally sighed, "Husband didn’t lie to you."
