"I do!" Di Mingchen chuckled, drawing out a cigarette. He sat down beside the man and gave him a playful pat, "Come, Big Brother, let’s reminisize about your bachelor days."
Di Mingjue didn’t respond. He gave Mingchen a frigid look that hastened the latter to quickly light up the cigarette for him. Mingchen grinned at him, asking, "Do you know how to smoke?"
Di Mingjue didn’t react. He held up the slim stick between his slender fingers, brought it to his lips, and inhaled sharply. The smoke hit his lungs like a burst of flame.
He cringed deeply, thick smoke seeping out from his thin lips. While he didn’t cough, it was clear he detested the taste of the smoke.
Di Mingchen glared at him, "If you don’t like it, don’t force it. What’s gotten into you, aren’t you getting married?"
Di Mingjue turned to him and suddenly asked, "Big brother, do you think I’ve treated Gu Qibao badly?"
Di Mingchen was taken aback for a moment before he decisively shook his head, "Why would you think that?"
Ever since he was a child, Mingjue had been a bit of a weirdo. When had they ever seen him treating anyone with such tenderness and indulgence?
Even Di Jinxuan had never received such treatment, right?
"So you think you haven’t treated her well enough?" Di Mingchen asked him back, "Listen, Third Brother, you are you. You have your own way. If you change that way, you would not be you anymore."
A hint of cold hardness flickered in Di Mingjue’s deep eyes. He wasn’t unaware, he just wanted to get an opinion, to see. Look, Di Mingchen also agreed, which meant he was not wrong.
"Let’s go." Di Mingjue stood up, throwing away the cigarette butt and straightening his clothes, "The wedding ceremony is about to start."
"You are finally aware that the ceremony is about to start." Di Mingchen also stood up. He was somewhat apprehensive that Di Mingjue might suddenly lose his temper and call off the wedding!
"Change into your outfit first." Di Mingchen suggested.
"Alright." Di Mingjue nodded, and the two brothers headed out.
He didn’t know what they talked about, and only knew that Gu Qibao had laughed really sweetly. There was a moment when he could hardly resist charging down there, but then he saw Gu Qibao close the door, leaving Bo Chengyan alone outside.
Gu Qibao’s decision to not run away had taken him by surprise. He had been ready to fight it out!
But her laughter at this moment left him uneasy. What the hell was going on?
Soon, Gu Ruhai and Gu Qibao had arrived in front of Di Mingjue.
Di Mingjue, with a cold expression, stared intently at Gu Qibao. His eyes reflected both perplexity and coldness. Qibao, however, didn’t seem to care. She smiled sweetly and took the initiative to say, "Mr. Di, aren’t you going to greet your beautiful bride?"
Di Mingjue was momentarily stunned, but he quickly snapped out of it. He took Qibao’s hand and linked it with his arm as they walked up to the wedding stage together.
"Gu Qibao, what exactly are you up to?" Di Mingjue whispered in her ear. His heart was beating wildly with worry.
