The tough trial is finally over, Di Mingzhe stood up, already drenched in sweat.
"Xiaxia." He looked tenderly at Di Xiaxia’s eyes and sighed, "I can finally take you home."
It really was a ’finally’, too damn hard it was indeed.
The room erupted with joyous sounds, "Wow, congratulations!"
"We’ve finally welcomed the beautiful bride!"
Amidst the cheerful noises, Gu Qibao handed over Di Xiaxia’s shoes.
Di Mingzhe took them, knelt down, and personally slipped them onto Di Xiaxia’s feet, smiling at her and saying, "Wife, let’s go home."
As he spoke, he stood up and swept Di Xiaxia into his arms in a bridal carry.
Di Xiaxia let out a surprised yelp and clung tightly to Di Mingzhe’s neck, her laughter sweet and full of bliss as she whispered, "Okay, let’s go home."
Amidst the sounds of celebration, Di Mingzhe carried Di Xiaxia downstairs.
Di Yan and Fang Hao were already sitting at the principal seats in the hall; the couple knelt down to serve tea to the two elders.
Fang Hao was so moved that she was nearly in tears. Finally, her boss was getting married, and the bride was the daughter she had raised all along—someone extremely close to her heart.
The elders joyfully drank the tea, gave them red envelopes, and after giving some advice, the wedding procession set off towards the Di Family estate where the wedding would be held.
On the way there, Gu Qibao sat in Di Mingjue’s car, sighing without end, "Ah, I think it’s way too difficult for big brother to marry a bride. Do you think you had it much easier?"
Gu Qibao turned her head to look at Di Mingjue, obviously pouting a bit.
"Not easy at all." Di Mingjue embraced Gu Qibao into his arms, his face serious as he said, "Big brother’s bride was waiting obediently at home for him, while my bride back then almost ran away!"
