He was torn, restless, but now was definitely not the time to panic, let alone collapse. Absolutely not. He couldn’t just freak himself out without understanding what was going on. That wouldn’t work.
For now, he needed to investigate and verify the situation before making any decisions.
While his heart ached with worry, there were more important matters he had to handle. After some thought, Nangong Jin immediately said, "Alright, you rest at home. When the doctor brings the medication, take some first. Then, your husband has to go to the Netherworld Pavilion to take care of this matter."
Di Jinxuan frowned. Although she wasn’t feeling well, she was clearly thinking it over. Finally, she said firmly, "No, I’m going with you."
"No." Nangong Jin rejected her without hesitation, patiently coaxing her. "Be good, wife. Your husband can handle this. If you come along, I’ll just end up worrying about you. Please, stay home and wait for me. Alright?"
"No." Di Jinxuan’s response was equally resolute. "I have to go. This is something I must be part of. I’m going with you. Wait for me; I’ll get dressed, and we’ll leave together."
Saying that, she started to get out of bed.
Nangong Jin became very anxious, but in the end, he was helpless against her determination and had no choice but to agree. He tried to calm her down, saying, "Don’t rush, wife. If you’re going, I’ll grab your clothes for you."
Just then, the doctor arrived, politely knocking on the door before entering. Upon stepping in, he gave a respectful bow and said, "Master Jin, Young Madam."
Nangong Jin nodded slightly at him.
The doctor handed over the medication and respectfully asked, "Young Madam, how are you feeling now?"
"I’m fine already," Di Jinxuan answered curtly.
"Nangong Jin, are you stupid?" Di Jinxuan glared at him, exasperated.
Completely clueless, Nangong Jin scratched his head and replied dumbly, "Wife, I’m not stupid. But really, it’s you who’s being unreasonable—not taking medicine when you’re feeling unwell."
"I don’t want to talk to an idiot," Di Jinxuan said, turning her head away, clearly done with the conversation. However, her cheeks flushed slightly.
Nangong Jin was still utterly confused. Fortunately, the doctor stepped in just in time. Though he felt very awkward, he still spoke respectfully but awkwardly, "Um, Master Jin, when you two were, uh... just now, did you, um... not use protection? The Young Madam might be worried about accidental pregnancy, which is why she’s not taking the medication."
After the doctor finished speaking, his face turned as red as a boiled shrimp. Damn it, usually he wasn’t embarrassed about explaining these things, but Master Jin’s oblivious reaction was really making this situation unbearable!
Sure enough, Master Jin in love... well, maybe he was just a little clueless.
