Gu Qibao barely had time to respond before she heard what sounded like a teacher’s voice on the other end of the line, also shouting, "Nangong Ran, what are you doing!"
This time Nangong Ran surprisingly didn’t back down but said to the teacher, "I have something urgent to do, gotta go, bye-bye."
The teacher looked bewildered, "You, you, you..."
Before he could finish, Nangong Ran had already dashed out of the classroom, leaving the teacher fuming and yelling, "I’m going to deduct your credits!"
Nangong Ran didn’t care, she didn’t have many credits anyway...
Once she was out of the classroom, Nangong Ran asked, "What’s going on exactly?"
"Well, it’s a long story." Gu Qibao pouted, "You don’t need to know all the details, just know that those two had a fight. Come over and keep Xuanxuan company."
"No way." Nangong Ran responded seriously, "I don’t really believe my third brother would do something like that, would he be interested in that kind of stuff? It must be a misunderstanding; it’s probably my third brother helping someone out, and Xuanxuan found out, right?"
It seemed Nangong Ran did know a bit about Nangong Jin. Gu Qibao nodded, "That’s pretty much it."
"Sigh." Nangong Ran sighed, "Is Xuanxuan really upset then?"
"What do you think?" Gu Qibao retorted.
"Definitely upset." Nangong Ran said, "If it were me, I’d be mad too. Alright, I’ll be right over, you guys wait for me."
"Mmm, mmm, mmm, we’re waiting for you, come and let Xuanxuan vent a bit."
Nangong Ran: "..."
"Damn, why me? I’m not taking the fall for this!" Nangong Ran said irritably, "Whoever’s problem it is should handle it themselves."
Not that it would help her even if she did take the fall.
Nangong Ran went to the school parking lot, got in her car, and then said to Gu Qibao, "Alright, I’m not going to chat anymore, I’m driving."
