Gu Qibao sat on the edge of the bed, diligently applying disinfectant on Di Mingjue’s wounds, blowing lightly on them from time to time, her heart aching from the sight.
His normally beautiful hands now looked very battered.
The earlier glass-shattering incident left some scars, and although they were almost healed, new injuries were now there.
Blood, bruises, and scratch marks all marred his hands.
Gu Qibao carefully cleaned the dried blood and couldn’t help cursing Bo Chengrui under her breath for scratching her husband’s hands so badly, infuriating her!
If she weren’t pregnant and unable to engage in a fight, she would have definitely stepped in and helped!
"Does it still hurt?" Gu Qibao softly asked as she continued the cleaning.
Di Mingjue didn’t respond, as he hadn’t heard her. He was too busy gazing at Gu Qibao, lost in thought.
Gu Qibao was dressed in a tank top, and the fact that she was crouching at the edge of the bed left Di Mingjue a bit flustered.
He was caught up pondering a serious question-of whether to eat or not to eat, so much so he didn’t even hear Gu Qibao’s question.
Seeing him not answering, Gu Qibao suspiciously looked at him, at which point their eyes met.
Gu Qibao instantly blushed and nearly slapped him, instinctively standing up and taking a step back, "Di Mingjue, what are you looking at!"
Innocently, Di Mingjue looked away and then back at her, motioning her with his finger, "Come here."
Feeling a little embarrassed, Gu Qibao looked at the unconcerned Di Mingjue, only then did she realize that they were husband and wife.
Was her previous reaction a little too much?
"I’ll come over after I’ve finished applying the medicine." Gu Qibao bashfully moved closer to the bed and took his hand.
Just then, he pulled her onto the bed.
"What, what, what are you doing?" Gu Qibao blushed. My word, his manliness and dominance made him irresistibly handsome.
Truth be told, she could hardly resist him!
Indeed, good looks certainly allowed him to have his way.
