This is his first time coming here to see Di Mingchen, usually he just saw him from afar.
It’s really heavily guarded and quite imposing.
He, someone who deals in shady business, definitely wouldn’t wander around here for no reason!
Now that he sees it up close, he realizes that Di Mingchen must have quite a workload.
The car slowly approached the training ground, and the four guards at the gate put away their guns, then saluted, showing respect and acknowledgment.
After driving a while longer, the car finally stopped, and Nangong Jin was then invited out.
He saw Di Mingchen and wanted to approach, but a guard beside him blocked him with a gun, expressionless and stern, saying, "Please wait a moment, we need the officer’s instructions before you can go over."
Nangong Jin: "..."
A guard jogged over to Di Mingchen, saluted, "Report, sir, the person has been brought over, please confirm if it’s the person you wanted to meet."
Di Mingchen raised his gaze, nodded, "It’s him, let him come over."
"Yes!" the guard replied, then turned and jogged back.
Only after Di Mingchen’s confirmation was Nangong Jin allowed to go over.
Upon approaching, Nangong Jin’s eyes widened, "Holy shit, bro, are you an ox or something? Eating out of a trough like that!"
He knew Di Mingchen had quite an appetite, but this was the first time seeing him eat out of such a big bowl.
Seeing him now sitting cross-legged without any airs, holding a bowl with a cheerful and good-natured look, waving him over.
Nangong Jin happily walked over, only to realize, holy shit, damn, they’re all eating out of bowls like that!
"Xiaojin, have you eaten?" Di Mingchen greeted Nangong Jin first.
"I have." Nangong Jin nodded, casually squatting down as well.
"Is it always like this here?" Nangong Jin couldn’t help but ask with a smile.
Di Mingchen gave a small smile and honestly replied, "80% of the time, yes."
"You’ve worked hard." Nangong Jin reached out to pat his shoulder, taking on a somewhat serious and solemn appearance.
Their efforts are indeed a force for the country’s stability, even someone like Nangong Jin, who mingles in shady dealings, can’t help but feel patriotic.
Di Mingchen chuckled, nodded, and directly asked, "Whatever it is, just say it."
"I want to talk to you about Nangong Ran." Nangong Jin wasn’t beating around the bush, he directly said, "Second brother, between the two of us, I’m not going to be vague. Nangong Ran is my biological sister, and I know her character well.
Though she usually likes to play, and doesn’t always speak properly, often acting carefree like an idiot, I understand her.
She’s just someone who cares a lot about others, always wanting to take care of everyone, especially her friends and family. She likes to have fun, but that doesn’t mean she messes around with everything.
Based on my understanding of her, she’s not the type to let a man kiss her easily. That night was definitely her first kiss."
