"Come in," Nangong Lin replied from inside the room.
Li Hui raised an eyebrow, "Hey, you’re actually awake."
Li Hui pushed the door open and entered the room, asking, "Why are you up so early?"
"Hmm, couldn’t sleep," Nangong Lin answered casually, not yet noticing the Queen was present.
"Xiaolin, is your injury better? Does it still hurt?" The Queen stepped forward and asked with concern.
Only then did Nangong Lin realize and suddenly felt a bit bewildered.
In her confusion, she hurriedly said, "Your Highness, why are you here?"
"I’m here to check on you," the Queen smiled gently, very much like Alvin, and casually sat down on Nangong Lin’s bedside.
Nangong Lin was embarrassed; at the moment, her hair was loose, and she was in her pajamas, looking really unkempt.
But she didn’t mind, she smiled politely and said, "You’re so considerate, thank you for your concern. My injury is much better now, it doesn’t hurt much."
"You need plenty of rest," the Queen’s gaze landed on Nangong Lin’s pretty face, then she turned to Li Hui and said, "Mrs. Nangong, may I have a private conversation with Xiaolin?"
Li Hui was briefly dazed, but then nodded, "Oh, okay, you two talk, I’ll leave you to it."
"Thank you," the Queen politely stood up and saw Li Hui out.
