Nangong Lin looked at Alvin.
Alvin spoke again, "Shouldn’t you call your mom, just to ease her worries?"
Actually, Nangong Lin was pondering.
The relationship between a man and a woman is really that simple. Once the words are spoken, there’s no hiding it. If they decide to be together, then surely they should live together like a couple, right?
Given that she already has a place at the apartment, Nangong Lin thought it over and decided not to be pretentious. She nodded, "Okay, I’ll give my mom a call."
Nangong Lin dialed the number, and Li Hui wasn’t the least surprised, since Nangong Lin is quite grown up; as long as she makes a call, that’s enough.
However, she’s been staying at home for quite a while, and now suddenly plans to move back, Li Hui sensed something and sharply asked, "Are you together with Xiao’ai?"
Xiao’ai?
Nangong Lin was speechless at Li Hui’s choice of words, but she denied it immediately, "No, I’ve just taken some work that requires me to be at the apartment more conveniently."
"Alright." Li Hui nodded, but couldn’t help advising a couple of things, "After all, it’s your own emotions, and the person you’re with is also yours to handle. Whether it works out or not, and how it turns out, it’s all your own decision. We respect every choice you make, manage it well yourself."
Concerning the situation between Nangong Lin and Alvin, Li Hui seemed much more rational, perhaps because deep down she doesn’t want her daughter to marry far away, and she feels being a princess is not easy.
"Mmm," Nangong Lin responded, signifying she understood, and the mother and daughter ended the call.
Alvin, sitting beside Nangong Lin, was quite excited. He couldn’t help but reach out, holding Nangong Lin’s hand and pulling it onto his lap.
