"Oh, come on." Gu Qibao rolled her eyes. "Can you not be so dirty?"
"I’m just telling it like it is." Nangong Ran rubbed her nose.
"I miss our youth." Gu Qibao took a deep breath. "Really, I miss it so much."
"Yeah, I really miss it too." Nangong Ran also took a deep breath. "And now Bo Chenghe’s back too, it’s just we haven’t had a chance to actually talk to him yet."
"Yeah." Gu Qibao nodded. "Bo Chenghe’s grown up and gotten hotter, did you notice?"
"Totally!" Nangong Ran nodded as well. "They always say girls change the most as they grow up, didn’t expect guys to change that much too. He got handsome—sharp features and all!"
"Way more mature now." Gu Qibao laughed. "Can’t believe in the blink of an eye it’s been six or seven years."
"Yeah, seven, eight years. How many seven, eight years do you even get in a lifetime?" Nangong Ran sighed. "Back when all that stuff happened, I said with Bo Chenghe’s personality he probably wouldn’t stay in the country, and sure enough, I was right."
"Anyway, now people have changed and things are over, haven’t they?" Gu Qibao looked at Nangong Ran, narrowing her eyes slightly. "Don’t you think?"
"Yeah." Nangong Ran nodded. "I’ve always said, there’s no ’what if’ in life..."
"But even if there’s no ’what if’, we can still get together, can’t we?" Gu Qibao suggested.
"Aren’t we already together now?" Nangong Ran chuckled. "What more do you want?"
"This doesn’t count. We can’t properly reminisce like this. I’m thinking maybe we should make a trip to Jinse?" Gu Qibao grinned.
Nangong Ran’s smile turned bright too. She nodded. "That sounds like a pretty good idea."
The two looked at each other, smiled, and nodded. Gu Qibao raised a brow. "So, tonight?"
"Tonight it is, you think I’m scared of you guys?" Nangong Ran arched her brows too, putting on an arrogant look, like she’d gone back to that reckless age when they knew nothing of the world and had no emotional messes to worry about.
"Mm, it’s a deal then." A smile curved on Gu Qibao’s lips.
